    Performance

This thing is DANGEROUS , it crush my finger causing my thumb to turn purple. The magnet is so strong you won't able to remove it if accidently it close together. What a waste of money. Stay away from this as this is a magnet that should not be use.

  2. Awesome works great on 1.25" Acrylic

Works great on 1.25" acrylic, buy with confidence. It doesn't float though so don't get too aggressive with your scrubbing. Digging it out of the sand isn't fun

  3. Great white on 400 gal 3/4" Glass
    Performance
    100%
Been using this magnet for 3 years on my front glass I use two hands to shift the weight of this but it gets the job done I wouldn't use any other magnet after having this for 3/4" glass. I had a tigershark from my previous tank and if I swing too that magnet would dislodge when trying to use on 3/4". Id like to mention because this Geat White magnet DOESNT FLOAT I keep caution for if it ever drops to manually pick it up and wash the wet side this magnet is STRONG and I wouldnt use this on anything less than 3/4" Glass.

  4. best glass cleaned ever
    Performance
    100%
I received my Great White Plus today and all I have to say its the best I have used yet. its fast and flows as fast as I can push it around without fear of it dropping on my corals. Bottom line every one should own one its well worth it. One note its so strong a magnate I'm glad I purchased the right size the first time. I normally would have over sized with other cleaners to make up for the glass thickness

  5. Works Well, Holds Strong on 3/4" Acrylic
    Performance

You're going to build some strong muscles using this on 3/4" acrylic. I frequently clean my acrylic tank with Novus 1 to keep it looking clear and shiny, when I first tried this algae cleaner out in my tank I had to use quite a bit of effort to get it moving. Once some algae film built up on the cleaning pad it moved easy. Three to four swipes was all it took to remove some more stubborn algae from the surface of the tank.

Inside the package, you're given a cleaning blade for glass (metal blade), acrylic (a slotted plastic blade), a stiff cloth pad for sticking between the cleaning magnet and your acrylic panel, and the wooden magnet for outside of the tank.

I was able to clean quite quickly, using fast back and forth motions to remove algae spots. The magnet held strong, and only popped off once when I tried to transition from the side of my tank to the front. Being a non-floating cleaner, it sank like a rock to the bottom of my tank. Having to get your arm wet to retrieve it is a pain in the butt, but I'll make do.

My one gripe with the cleaner is the wooden handle. While attractive, I won't be leaving it on my tank (acrylic, don't want anything calcifying to grow on it and scratch up the tank) and my hand got a bit tired holding it compared to my flipper max. I wish it were a bit more ergonomic, and perhaps a slight bit larger.

Works like a charm on the 1" pane of my 500gal acrylic tank. Need two hands to move it, but I don't have to get in to clean it.

  7. Magnet is so strong you can not move it

I ordered this thing and could not use it on my 320 tank. I removed it right away and called BRS this was the conversation.
For 150 dollars, I would like to know I could use the magnet.

Hi I ordered The great white and that thing is so strong I can barely move it on the glass. I put it in the aquarium moved 2 x a removed it. Can I return this for one that is not so strong. I have a 320 gallon aquarium but this one does not move without a extreme amount of psi.

    Sure, one moment

    ok
    Brent at 14:28, Nov 14:
Unfortunately since the cleaner has been used we are not able to process a return. One thing that I would suggest is to use a piece of cloth such as a rag between the outside pad and the glass
    Brent at 14:28, Nov 14:
this can help reduce the drag and the power of the magnet
    You at 14:29, Nov 14:
Really this thing was rated for my aquarium but it is way to strong
    You at 14:30, Nov 14:
How am I suppose to know the magnet would work or not work without putting it on the tank.
    Brent at 14:30, Nov 14:
I understand how you feel. The larger glass cleaner magnets are rated for a wide range of glass thicknesses so they can be quite strong
    Brent at 14:31, Nov 14:
Using a soft cloth between the outside cleaner and glass often helps to reduce the resistance
    You at 14:31, Nov 14:
When you pay 159 dollars for a magnet aqnd you can barely move it in your aquarium I think it should be returnable. This is a advertisement issue
    Brent at 14:34, Nov 14:
This cleaner is designed to be very strong for thicker walled aquariums
    You at 14:34, Nov 14:
yes it states Glass aquariums holding 300 to 600 gallons Acrylic aquariums up to 96" long and 36" high Large 4" x 2" cleaning area
    You at 14:35, Nov 14:
Well I will put this story on reef 2 reef and maybe someone will buy it. This is not thye way I would stand behind a customer who has spent so much money.
    Brent at 14:36, Nov 14:
I would suggest using a couple of layers of microfiber towel and give that a try. It should help reduce the resistance
    Brent at 14:36, Nov 14:
Reselling it is another option you have

  8. Would buy again!

Very strong magnet to clean my monster 1" thick acrylic tank. I don't use the scraper, the pad is plenty strong. Magnet doesn't float if it is separated from the other piece which is a bummer, but for the strength of the device it is worth it.

  9. Awesome cleaner

Bought the Piranha Float Plus. Takes everything, including hard to remove algae (coralline, diatom, etc), with minimal scraping. Worked great on my glass surface with the stainless steel scraper. Love that it floats, though the stainless steel part does not. It fits into the floating portion pretty snugly so when you transition from one side of the aquarium to another, it doesn't pop out when you lose your magnetic connectivity. Also won't simply fall out while floating either. It's possible, but so far, I haven't had it happen.

  10. Tiger Shark Scraper
    Performance
    100%
i used the magnafloat algae scraper for 7 years on my 75G. I upgraded my tank from a 75G to a 180G and couldn't be happier with the Tiger Shark Magnet i recently purchased. The magnet is very powerful so i do not lose it while im cleaning the glass. I am able to turn corners without the magnet coming apart and getting blown around in the powerheads.
