I am going on vaction for the first time since the tank has been sset up and was trying to figure out a way to have to worry about a tank sitter causing a crash.

I ordered this guy up. it works pretty easy. Push the button o1,2,3 times for how many times a day you want to feed and that starts the timer as well for the next feeding time so make sure and read the 1 small page instructions. It really dont vibrate much but does have a nice spot to plug a air pump into to keep air on the food..

only bad part is i wish it had a setable timer instead of the way it is set up. But for the price not a bad deal..

Got this because I was leaving for awhile, came back my fish are still alive. I like to hand feed so this is a great way to go on vacation without losing my pride and joys

  • Loud, Does not work well with the Elos pellet food. By on 6/15/2012

I was not very impressed by this product. The first thing I noticed was when I took it out of the package it felt very cheaply made. Second, the unit is really loud and noisey just to be a feeder. Third, the unit does not have a good mounting system expecially for a rimless tank such as mine. The mounting system consists of two pieces of velcro tape. Last and I think the most important, the unit does not work well with my Elos pelet food. The unit feeds way too much even on the lowest setting. If you have used the Elos food before, you know a little bit goes a long way. I would not recommend this product.

use this one for over 6 years on a freshwater. Runs relibaliy. Kind of hard to get variable flakes just right as they very in size. If left too close to the water food will absorb moisture and gum up. I have had luck keeping 3 in above the water with out the air line and the food staying dry.
