Full Details

No more cleaning or changing filter socks every few days. A single roll can take the place of over 50 filter sock changes and if you do not wash your filter socks can save a lot of money in the long run. We have had a rollermat running on a test tank for about 8 months and have only needed to change the fleece twice.

  • No more filter socks By Jpaudio on 4/23/2017

Last longer then having filter socks and I don't have to change them every 4 days and water seems stay clear with them
  • OMG By kermit on 2/4/2017

of course as everyone has said the water is crystal clear. And maintenance is a breeze with the automatic top off and the roller mad and then excellent some I just look at the sump and maybe empty it once every couple of weeks. My first role did go pretty quick about a month but I expect the second role to last longer considering the first one had to clean up my tank.
  • Love it ! By Rod on 12/29/2016

Love this addition to my sump. I had to fit mine in a little unconventional because this thing is big. I ended up putting it in longways in my refugium and running the return water back to my skimmer section. The metric/US conversion kit is a must. Have had this up and running for about three weeks and have had no issues. Water is clearer and my sump is now pretty much hands free. Only the occasional skimmer cup to empty. No more filter socks! This unit does its job as advertised.

What is the equivalent micron rating for this filter material? For example, I'm accustomed to using 100-micron filter socks.
So is 20 g/m2 a finer mesh than 100-micron or is it more coarse than 100-micron?
Question by: Gibbons Aquaria on May 23, 2017 11:41:00 AM
Unfortunately the 20 g/m2 rating does not directly translate to a micron rating due to the variable of the thickness of the material. In general, what we found with regard to the thickness of the fleece, is that it will mostly likely filter down to around 50-100 microns. Our experiences so far have shown this to be very effective at trapping even very small particles of debris.

Hope this helps!

Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us in regards to this roll. This would be 6.25" wide. Please let me know if there is anything else that we can assist with. Thanks!
