The JBJ Arctica Chillers incorporate some of the most advanced technological features to create a solution to stabilize water temperatures for your aquarium environment.

Arctica Features

Titanium Heat Exchanger

Exclusive titanium coil design creates maximal contact exposure.

Condenser Layout

Condenser, which is located on the front side of the chiller, draws cool air from the front and exhausts the warm air out the back. This unique placement also allows direct access to clean the condenser grill without any tools to take the chiller apart.

Energy Efficiency

Low energy consumption means lower cost. The highest BTU (British Thermal Units) heat removal capacity with the lowest AMPERAGE draw.

Fully Automated Digital Thermostat

Automatically control your temperature within +1/-1 Fahrenheit using the built-in thermostat. Includes a bright LCD that can easily be read day or night.

Least Noise and Smallest Vibration Level

You will be amazed at how uncommonly quiet this chiller is. Definitely an attractive quality for aquarists with tanks located in living rooms.

Compact Footprint

Many of the Arctica chillers are no larger than a standard desktop computer. Their compact size makes placement easy, even if you don't have a large designated area.

Side Handles

Lift and move your chiller easily using the ABS molded handles.

2 Year Warranty

Arctica Chillers are covered by a 2 year warranty, direct from the manufacturer to you.

  • Fantastic product By Dory on 6/10/2017

Easy install, very quiet and keeps the temperature in my 125G reef tank stable, even on hot days!
  • You cant hear it running and its very accurate. By Joseph on 10/2/2016

  • Great purchase By Jonathan on 7/9/2016

I bought this chiller because I have my water change station in my garage, and here in South Carolina my 75 gallon mixing tank stays at 88-90 degrees all summer. The chiller drops the temperature to 78 overnight. Couldn't be happier.
  • Easy set up and quite By Joe on 6/19/2016

The 1/10 chiller works as advertised. It chills my tank down to 77 in no time and is definitely quiet.
  • Great chiller By Doug on 5/12/2016

I'm using this product on a nano tank, with the expectation of moving to a 90 gal in the near future. This product lives up to its claims. It is very quiet and efficient. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a high quality chiller.
  • Cool By Russ K. on 7/2/2015

I have the 1/10 HP model on a 55 gallon tank. Works very well. Quiet.

You can calibrate the temperature sensor to match your other probes. It's been a bit finicky for me. When the chiller thinks it's dropped a degree, it has actually dropped 1.4*. So I went from having a tank that gradually crept up in temperature throughout the day by about 3* to one that swings up and down 1.4* throughout the day. I may put the setpoint higher to see if it's more stable.
  • Good chiller By Oneilwiz on 6/2/2015

I have Been dodging the chiller for hears but I can't this summer. I am happy with the chiller just one complain which is the front panel buttons could have designed better. I would recommend it especially for NYC hot weather in the summer
  • Good product By Dbrown on 5/6/2015

  • Awsome By Captainv on 11/26/2013

Had been putting this off for so long, and with the heater running now in the winter tank been pushing the limits on the temp. Ordered this unit and working along with my Apex its keeps my tanks temp at a very steady temp. Work awesome and is so quite I hear a click when it starts up if I'm in the room other then that never even know its there except my tank temp is spot on. 75 Gal tank its working awesome. Sooooo Recommend.
  • Great Chiller By JC on 5/12/2013

I've been using this chiller for over 3 years now and the only maintenance that is done on it has been cleaning the hairs from my dog on it and some vinegar flushes. I am from PR, 90' degrees average and it runs almost all day without a problem.
  • Great chiller By Robert on 5/21/2012

I just got this chiller on 5/17/12 my tank was getting over 83 deg. out here in the arizona heat where its already 105 deg. in a matter of 24 hrs. the chiller had my tank down to 77.5 deg. must say very happy with how well this thing works and how super easy it was to install and setup. also very good on how quite it is....... all and all everyone should use this chiller
  • Quiet, simple to set up, low power consumption By Koqui on 2/2/2012

Used over this hot summer in NYC and it made a world of a difference on my coral and fish. Runs very quiet and you will only notice the unit running when the compressor turns on. Don't forget to purchase a pump to go along with the chiller. Using it on a 29 gallon nano.
