Quick Overview

Using RO/DI water is essential to maintaining a healthy aquarium. City and well water are inherently full of contaminants that have an undesirable effect on the aquarium. An RO/DI system will provide the pure water necessary for the long term success of your tank. Approximately 10% of city municipal waters systems use chloramines to process water. Standard RO filters and units will not remove chloramines from the water. If your household water supply contains chloramines you will need a chloramines specific reverse osmosis unit. To find out what's in your water contact your city and ask for a water report.

    Benefits include:
  • Contaminant free water
  • A healthier reef
  • Algae outbreak defense
  • Faster easier water changes
  • Zero trips to the store for water

Product Description

All BulkReefSupply.com Reverse Osmosis units exclusively feature American made DOW, MATRIKX and Purtrex filters. We also use American made MUR-LOK dual EPDM O-ring fittings whenever possible on all of our reverse osmosis units. These NSF certified fittings and filters cost us more than inexpensive imports, but set our units apart from the competition.

The BulkReefSupply.com 6 Stage Chloramine Plus RO/DI unit is the upgrade to our Chloramines Plus unit. The upgrades include Dual Stage DI, Commercial Grade TDS Meter, and a flow meter that tells you when its time to change filters. This system includes everything needed to remove chloramines and make RO/DI water out of the box. See the details below and the easy compare graph to compare to our other chloramines reverse osmosis units.

Questions on 75 GPD RO/DI 6 Stage Chloramines *DELUXE* System

Sort by Descending
  • From victor at 3/15/12 9:45 AM
    • What is the water waste rate?
    • Assuming proper water temp and pressure it can range from 3:1 to 5:1, most get closer to the 3:1 unless doing something that increases back pressure on the membrane (like a drinking water tank and setup), then it tends to get closer to the 5:1.
