Reverse Osmosis Systems: Keeping Aquariums Healthy
Here at Bulk Reef Supply, we aim to help you create the best possible environment for the marine life in your tank. Our reverse osmosis systems are guaranteed to remove the contaminants in your reef aquarium, such as phosphates and nitrogen compounds, which could foster the excessive growth of algae. Using these also saves you the trouble of rushing to the store to replenish your tank water.
We offer a variety of these filters to meet the unique needs of our customers. DIY aficionados can assemble their own RO systems with our Build Your Own units. We also offer combined reverse osmosis system filters and deionization systems that enable you to spend less.
Bulk Reef Supply reverse osmosis systems use NSF-certified MUR-LOK dual EPDM O-ring fittings that can easily take care of leaks and are safe for food contact. Call 763-432-9691 to learn more about our filtration systems or to place an order today.
Reverse Osmosis & Deionization Systems
Deionization and Reverse Osmosis systems function so that your reef aquarium always contains clean, livable water. This is one of the most important things to have installed to keep your tank in good condition.
Reverse osmosis (RO) systems make sure that the water that enters your tank is always filtered and contaminant-free by making use of a filtering membrane. This is especially important for the growth and health of your reef tanks' corals and anemones. By having this installed, you will be able to do away with harmful impurities that come from the chemical treatment involved in public water purification.
Deionization (DI), on the other hand, makes use of a process called "ion exchange", which is the replacement of chemical impurities in tap water with pure water. It is best to have this work with the RO system to ensure a dependable water filtration system in your reef tanks.
With the combined power of an RO/DI system, you will be able to make sure that your reef tank contains nothing but clean water for all your corals and fish to live in. You should keep in mind that what is good for us may not exactly be perfect for the other species of the planet.
