BRS Dry Live Rock for Aquariums
live rock is the most popular material used for natural biological filtration in saltwater aquariums. Live aquarium rock comes in two basic forms, wet and dry. Wet rock comes with bacteria populated on its surface and dry rock will take a few extra weeks to build up the bacteria population. We prefer to use dry rock in our own systems because it is less expensive, easier to work with and doesn’t come with all the pests that plague so many reefers aquariums.
Reef Saver Rock – Easiest to aquascape and most environmentally responsible choice.
Pukani Live Rock– Lightest and most porous, a customer favorite but rarely available
Fiji Live Rock – The standard in reef keeping
Tonga shelf – Flat shelf pieces, perfect for overhangs, caves and holding lots of corals.
Tonga Branch – Branch pieces which create a very unique open look. Very attractive in fish only systems that require open areas for swimming.
