Approximately 10% of city municipal waters systems use chloramine to process water. Standard RO filters wil not remove chloramine from the water. If your household water supply contains chloramines this Pentek ChlorPlus carbon block is necessary. To find out what's in your water contact your city and ask for a water report. Product Description

ChlorPlus carbon block cartridges help reduce sediment while providing greater chloramine performance capacities than granular carbon. They also significantly reduce the carbon fines found in many granular canisters.

This cartridge is capable of removing chloramines from 5,000 gallons of water (includes waste water). It is typically used after a refillable cartridge of catalytic activated carbon (GAC). When used with a cartridge of GAC we recommend changing both every 10,000 gallons (includes waste water).
