hi there, im considering purchasing yoursingle gfo and carbon reactor my question is im running two 2260 eheim canister filters for my 72 gallon bow front drilled tank I would like to know if I could run the reactors in line off my 3/4 inch return line with reducing fittings ,tee fittings and your burloc ball valves,im very happy with my canisters filters my tank has been running for years now with no issues I don't want a sump with this system im building a 90 gallon drilled bowfront which will be utilizing a 30 gallon sump your insite will be greatly appreciated.

Great question!
Unfortunately it is not possible to run a reactor in line with a canister filter. The impeller within the canister is not designed for the flow to work well as well as fitting and plumbing up between the Polyethylene semi malleable tubing and soft canister filter tubing will prove to be a very tough challenge. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!

The golden rule of plumbing is that every job takes three trips to the store. While this can be frustrating locally it can be much worse when shopping online. Being short a fitting or two can delay a plumbing project for days. Here are some quick tips to avoid this.

  • Plan your plumbing on paper.
  • Don't skimp on unions. Unions allow for easy breakdown and maintenance as well as remove the need for precise elbow placement. Use them as often as possible.
  • When in doubt order extra. We happily accept returns for a full refund (less shipping) on all unused fittings within one month of purchase. A few extra bucks in return shipping is less frustrating than a project delay.

  • Premium fitting By Ken on 5/3/2016

Looks good especially with colored SCH 40 tubing. But the finish is no better than the white SCH 40 fittings at the big box stores for a fourth of the price. I will think hard about what I will do for my next build.
  • A Great SCH 80 TEE By Brandon on 1/30/2014

Perfect Tee with Slip X Slip X Slip. Works perfect with Sch 80 piping. Useful for all projects needing a tee.
  • Schedule 80 is the best way to go. By Melvin on 6/9/2011

Schedule 80 is the best way to go. Just make sure you have enough room when laying out your set-up because it does take a little more space. That being said the strength of the fittings you just can not beat. BRS has everything you need to do the job right “The one stop supplier” Save your gas they have done all the leg work for you
