Had the first one for six months and it worked great.....until it didn't. Unit stopped pumping water for my ATO system. Replacement unit is working great but too soon to tell.

I use this pump for my ato. I have been using it fir about a year now with no issues. I do recommend putting a pre filter on it if you use kalk or other supplements. This will help from buld p in the line and pump.

Used with my JBJ A.T.O., pumps water as advertised. I have the pump sitting on top of the 5 Gallon bucket I use as a reservoir, which sits at the same level as my sump. Pump is only rated for 30 in. of rise so it needs to be placed as close to the level of the reservoir as possible.

The price of this little pump can't be beat. However, I wasn't so lucky with using it to dose kalk. It clogged after a few months so I upgraded to a BRS dosing pump ;)

This aqua lifter pump is great for overflow systems. I have one for my overflow and my auto top off. It sucks water frome one hose and pushes it out the other hose. Air line tubeing not included. Overall great product for the money.

This pump is extremely quite and it pumps 3.5 gph so it's perfect for an auto top off system but, if you have to pump for a long distance of height I would get a different pump. For a first time auto top off system it's an awesome pump for cheap.

Great pump! I use it for my auto top off system and couldn't expect more. Rubber mounts on the bottom make it extremely quiet and it's quite powerful for its size. Recommending it to everyone.

I originally used this in conjunction with my Reefkeeper for a topoff pump on my sump, but I found that it loses its efficiency/power quickly over the distance it has to pull the water/solution from. For this reason I upgraded to a Aqua Medic SP3000 peristaltic pump that can pull from my reservoir that sits about 40 feet away.
However, I ended using this on my daughter's 40g reef tank that has a CPR overflow. It works perfectly for this applications!!
TIP: If you use a overflow..get black vinyl tubing to use with this unit. You will probably set this pump on top of your overflow right were your tank lighting is = major algae growth with the clear tubing, which leads to clogging and decrease pump flow.

Had one of these pumps pushing fully saturated kalk for over a year now. Just ordered a new one just in case, but the original is still going strong. Draws the kalk up 12 inches then pumps it three additional feet up to my tank. Combined with a controller or timer and you have yourself the perfect dosing pump. Works great as a topoff pump, too. Amazing little machine!

I use one of these for my auto top off. I works great! it is quiet and has ran for 2 months with no issue. The only problem that I have with it is the hanger is at the top and when you hang it the tubes will bend.

Absolutely silent operation. Moves enough water to top off just about any size tank. The prefilter is a must if you're dosing kalk, calcium, etc. The pump will eventually get clogged and burn itself out without the prefilter. On that note, this pump is rebuildable with OEM parts sold on other websites. (Something I suggest BRS start carrying)

I have had one of these on my 30 gallon "backup" tank for at least 2 years now to keep the siphon going on my overflow box. It has never once given me a problem, and has prevented many overflows of the overflow-which I used to have and worry constantly prior to buying and installing this pump. This pump is the single most valuable, versatile and affordable piece of equipment you can get for any aquarium. It is also VERY QUIET. You will find yourself checking to see if it's plugged in!

Purchased Aqua Lifter Pump because I wanted an external pump for my ATO system. Works great and very efficient. No need to worry about the pump heating up the water. Summer is coming and the last thing I need is another pump in the sump heating up the water. Highly recommend and you can't go wrong with BRS company!

I bought this pump after realizing that my Tunze Ozmo pump was too strong for my Kalk reactor. It’s a great slow dosing pump for things that require little to no accuracy. I would not trust it to dose 2-part, but for RO top off or kalk, it works great. One bit of advice, if you should ever get air in the pump, turn it on its side and give it a few taps. Repeated this process one all side to work out all the air bubbles. This should insure you get the full flow the pump has to offer.
