I've been using a swing arm hydrometer for the entire year and a half I've been in this hobby only to find out my salinity was actually 1.2! So happy I made this purchase as I've gotten my salinity up to 1.25 and haven't looked back since.

this thing is very easy to use and a must have if you are using saltwater i had the traditional dip and read hydrometer and kept getting a different reading since i got this every reading was the same

In purchasing this refractometer for reading salinity, I am very pleased with what I received. Bulk Reef Supply did an outstanding job getting the package shipped to my front doorstep within three days, and I was very pleased with how the product was packaged. This refractometer is extremely easy to use and is incredibly accurate. In addition to that, the refractometer came with a compact, yet protecting carrying case, and also included calibration fluid, calibrating screw driver, and a pipette for obtaining water samples, making each test extremely quick and easy. I recently purchased this Reftractometer from BRS and for the money this is by far one of the best units I have seen, it's very sturdy, easy to read and even comes with calibration fluid. I highly recommend this device for all saltwater tank keepers.

This refractometer is perfect for measuring salinity.... It is very easy to use and is very accurate.... I used to have a hydrometer (not very accurate) then I switched to a very cheap refractomter my friend gave me and the quality and accuracy of that wasn't near this one.

This one comes with a calibration fluid so you won't need to buy one and as it says in the instructions, it works best with calibrated each time before use. This assures you that you are reading your tanks salinity accurately!

I bought one of these and just started using it while mixing up the water for the initial fill of the aquarium. It only took about a minute to figure out how to use it, and it works great. Easy to use, clean, and re-use. Comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth, plastic eyedropper, and calibration fluid.

This is a simple, easy to use product that is easy to calibrate. I really like that BRS includes the calibration fluid. ALWAYS calibrate to the range you will be testing, never calibrate to 0.
