Very easy to set up and get running. I have this controlled via an apex lite controller and set up time was minimal. Using included hardware I mounted it to my tank and got it plugged in and running in under a half hour. I bought two of them to dose two part and it definitely is nice to have my tank even more automated!

I bought 2 of these, one to dose Alk and one for Calcium. Very easy to hang, lightweight and includes both the hardline and soft tubing. I have this running on my Apex Neptune, so long gone the days of manually dosing!

They feel lighter than they look, and we usually associate quality with weight so only time will tell. So far i am very happy with them.

i orderd two pumps for my small reeftank after just two weeks i ordert two more for my big tank. you just dont have to worry about back siphoning and on all 4 pumps i checked all deliverd the same amount per min. they are a must with the two part dosing sytem.

Although it takes a bit more calculation to set it up, but the pump is much more sturdier than the fancier dosing system. Noise? you have to put your ear close to it to hear any, great product.

Set these up with the apex unit, connected to plugs 4 and 8. Found a quick program for them online, now the alk doses at night when the PH drops and the calc doses during the day. Very quiet and did not need to be primed to work. No problems on this at all.

This doser includes a mounting bracket you can screw into your stand or wall, and then you just slide the doser on the bracket. It takes just seconds to setup, and drips what I need for dosing kalk.

i found out what i was doing wrong on the Apex EnergyBar 8. outlet 4 and 8 are relay switched outlets for small load like fans and small pumps.this is a Great pump i would buy it again.just if your useing a Apex controller use outlet 4 and 8

does not work well with the Apex controller.they do not want to turn back off after they turn on.they work Great with a digital garden timers.Like almost all BRS you don't have to worry about buying things that should come with the pumps.you get everything you need to run one just need a digital garden timer

I've had two of these pumps in operation for six months now with no problems. They are a great way to automate a task that most folks don't do on a regular basis. I'm using my APEX to control them. I've not had a problem using them on non-relayed outlets as some reviewers have noted.

I, like many, were dosing 2 part to start out with daily. I finally purchased just one of these to try it out. Callibrated it, spot on out of the box! 1.1 ML. Been dosing Alk with it all week. Spot on. Easy- love it! I will be purchasing another one next week for my Calc. Easy to adjust, well built, another great product from BRS! Love these guys, they are always helpful and the videos are awesome for a newer person to the hobby. Thanks BRS

This pump is great, Only two issues.....when used with a Neptune apex use one of the physical relay switches (4 & 8) on the EB-8. The energy use is so low on the other outlets it tends to stay on very slow. I also put a rubber mat under the pump because I did notice a slight vibration when the pump is running.

Using these for a little over 1 month to dose calcium and alk with BRS 2 Part. They are controlled by digital garden timers set to dose 8 times a day. It only took a couple of days to raise Ca++ to 420 and alk to 9 and the levels haven't varied since. Light weight but seem to be sturdy. Easy to set up.

I use three of these pumps...2-1.1ml for dosing calcium and alk, 1-50 ml for auto topoff. I use my Neptune Apex to control the pumps. They pumps are great. The only problems I have had are a squeaky noise that comes out of them when they are running, I wonder if some sort of lubricant can be used to stop the squeak. I also recommend using outlets 4 & 8 on the EB-8 or using an EB-4 because they are relay outlets on the Apex. The non-relay switches remained on because the pump uses such little power.

Put my third BRS 2 Part Doser (1.1 mL Per Minute) on -line today. If you're considering a Drew's Doser (at 1.5 ml per minute), forget-about-it! (1) this doser comes with a mounting bracker and (2) this doser has a threaded design for attaching the tubing (vodka can make a slip on connection slip - I once dosed a liter of vodka into my system when the connection to a doser slipped off) and (3) the 1.1 vs. 1.5 is mode granular. The extra money is worth it!

I bought a pair of these to dose my 2 part. I have now replaced them both with Drews Dosers. A number of problems occured - firstly, the santoprene tubing split open after approx 9-12 months.. I had a heck of a time finding a replacement. Once I did, the replacement wasn't an exact match and the tube was slightly smaller, making it nearly impossible to make a good seal.
the second issue is the plastic hub that turns the rollers cracked, and the shaft started slipping, and the rollers stopped moving. I tried fixing with crazy glue, then polyurethane glue, then with a small metal hose clamp, and finally gave up and switched to drews doser pumps. no more headaches!

Hooked these up to my Aquacontroller and has been working great for the past few months. Be careful tho. If you're using an old DC8, this unit will not switch off even if you use outlets 4 and 8. I learned the hard way and dumped a gallon of calcium into my tank.

I have it dosing for 10 minutes every hour for 16 hours and it keeps my ph nice and steady.

Never had any problems. Been running them for over a year now. IMO, they are pretty pricey for a single pump, especially considering all the new pump systems coming out these days (with multiple pumps and timers/cpu's incorporated into their designs).

Bought this for calcium and alkalinity dosing because i have seen what happens when calcium reactors go haywire and dump all of the co2 out in one day, everything turns green. Besides that i don't know how to set a calcium reactor up even if i could afford it. I am going to buy one for magnesium next. I run for 35 minutes a day on my 60 gallon.
