This thing is changing my life By Sara on 5/3/13

You know how it is. You wait a couple of days too long to get out the mag float and now the algae is really caked on. Then you don't bother with it because you know you're going to have to get in there and scrape it off by hand and you just don't feel like it. So you put it off and put it off and before you know it...you can't have anyone over because your tank looks terrible.
Enter the easy blade. In just a few minutes, you can have your tank looking like new again. I wish I'd gotten one sooner....but you know how it is....you put it off and put it off and before you know it.....

Worked better than I could have hoped. Easily removed coraline algae buildup. Way better than your favorite "scraper on a stick".

Overall I think that this is a good product. I think the key is to have it on the right magnet. I also have a biocube and it is just a little large for that. I just upgraded my tank so I'm sure it will work much better on at 65.

A must have for aquarium maintenance. By Eric on 2/15/12

Just got our Easy Blade from BRS and we love it. I have to admit that I was sceptical about this product after using alot of other "aquarium cleaners" but this thing does exactly what it claims to. It is easy use, lets us reach places the mag float is to big to get to and even lets us clean all the way to the sandbed. I'm recommending this product to my entire reef club and anyone else that is tired of getting in the tank with a razor blade.

Great Product By Ryan S on 2/8/12
Ryan S would recommend this product to a friend
I agree with all of the other reviews here, it's a great product and gets the job done. The only downside is the blade must be removed after use and kept dry. This item would be perfect if it had a rust-proof blade that could stay in the tank at all times. But it's not that big of a deal. I only need to install and use the blade once a month.

Works Well By travis on 2/2/12

It does work very well for its intended purpose, but beware of getting even a single grain of sand stuck in it. it will scratch up your glass if you are not careful. even with that problem, it makes scraping glass much less of a chore, especially if you have coraline algae at all, this cuts right through it

Wonderful product, your tank will look better after using it. Easy to use, high quality double side blades. Remember to buy super glue, easily glued on than I thought. At the first use, a lot of algae will come out, so you might choose to do one or two glass panels at a time to reduce the bio load.

As fast as you can slide the scraper down the glass will be as fast as the coralline will slide right off. Great product!

Great scrapper but can be had to setup By Larry on 3/6/11
Larry would recommend this product to a friend
Once you get it glue and in place on your magnet this little scrapper is the best. The alignment when gluing it to your magnet is critical so take it slow. Also, be sure you don't leave metal razor blade on it since they will rust badly.

Best Glass Scraper Ever Period!!! By GottaLoveAngels on 2/15/11
GottaLoveAngels would recommend this product to a friend
This is by far the best product I've ever purchased for my aquarium. Fish and coral are great purchases but whats the point when you cant see it. Coralline algae had completely taken over my front glass and I used urchins, starfish, and the long reach scrapers and nothing worked. My arm would be in too much pain or the coralline would be way too tough to remove. I looked through fish forums and this product was mentioned as the best to use by far and they were right. I was able to remove all the front coralline in minutes. I did in 10 minutes what would take months to complete. Now I can see my aquarium and enjoy the display. If you are questioning whether to buy this product, there is no need. It is without a doubt the best product for scraping coralline and anything else on the glass. Highly recommended

This has got to be the best device for cleaning glass. It couldn't be easier with this tool. The blade glides through Coraline algae and deposits on glass like a hot knife through butter! I wish I would have purchased this sooner, it definitely beats getting the scrub brush and scraper on a extender and using old fashioned elbow grease! Highly recommend this device!!

Must Buy By David on 7/7/10

I cannot believe how great this product is. It scrapes coralline algae off the glass and the arm that extends out, gets areas your magnet will not. Also, most of us start with the cheap mag floats, and this makes them a super scraper. I can't believe I've had a reef for 4 yrs without it.... you will not regret buying this product!!!!

Great Product, but.... By Charles on 5/3/10
Charles would recommend this product to a friend
This is a really great product, but in the end I took the item apart and modified it to make it more user friendly. On a Piranah, it extends a good inch. The scraping ability is great, but you run into problems where the length can't exactly fit, now that its a whole inch thicker.
I've tinkered with designs to make the arm removable, so that my glass cleaner still has functionality to fit in tight spaces. Since the blade can't be in the water the whole time, you essentially were left with a glass cleaner with some arm concoction on it.
Still, this product is a Godsend and I would recommend it to everyone. I just wish easy blade would branch out and make the unit interchangeable with a hand scraper, an extension arm, as well as a glass cleaner.

The best scraper I've ever used!! By Randy on 3/12/10
Randy would recommend this product to a friend
I have a 30 in deep tank and I can never get to the coraline that grows up from the bottom of my tank or in front of my LTA. The coraline has been building up for about 2 years and this scraper (attached to the large mag float) cleaned the coraline off the glass in no time. My wife says the tank looks bigger and I can actually see the sand bed and all the coral frags that are accumulating down there.
Just buy one, you will be glad you did.

Do yourself a favor and order this thing immediately By Mike on 1/17/10
Mike would recommend this product to a friend
Throughout my 5 years of having a saltwater aquarium (90g), I've struggled with that hard film of green algae that grows on the glass, as well as coralline (great on rocks, bad on the front glass). Until now, I've used a mag float to try to keep the algae at bay, with limited success (it takes many passes, and never seems to get all of it off), and eventually I break out the blade-on-a-stick thing to scrape the algae and coralline off. This is a laborious task that usually gets split into a couple of evenings, since my arm gets tired trying to exert sufficient pressure with the long stick, particularly as I get closer to the bottom of the glass.
Tonight, I cleaned the front and side glass completely (which, due to neglect, had a heavy growth of algae, and some areas of coralline here and there as well), and I did it in about 5 minutes with absolutely no physical exertion... it literally plows through algae growth like a lawnmower. Even hard coralline is effortlessly removed with 1 or 2 passes.
