I bought this module along with an RKL to automate sunrise and sunset with my DIY LEDs on my RSM 250 and it works like a charm. Only caveat is that all these products do not come with any type of fully descriptive instructions so go to the website and download the full manual for both the RKL and ALC.

I am using this with a semi-DIY LED retrofit of a 14g Biocube. With the two 0 to 10VDC ports, I am able to control both the whites and blues of my fixture individually. For the programming, go to the Digital Aquatics website and check out their support forums. There you will find how to do the correct programming for time and ramp up time for the dimming.

This is an excellent product and a great addition to my Reef Keeper system. I have this running my DIY LED system on a 180 reef system. Once programed through the my reef program I can actually mimic a sunrise, high noon, and sunset configuration. The corals love it.
If you have built your own DIY LED system and want to use a DA controller. This is a must have for your system. Program it and enjoy it.

REALLY? If you purchase the aquatics illumination fixture to work the the DA ALC be prepared to "cut off one end of the AI data cord and SPLICE it to the cord of the DA ALC cord" and with no instructions how to do so. I have spent almost $800.00 on a system that I will have to splice together like some back alley car repair shop. It just does not sound look a good connection especially with saltwater!

i got this to control the led lamp that i built. its super nice to have a sunrise and sunset. it is super easy to program with the myreef software. a bit odd otherwise. must have for running dimmable diy led's.

I actually run two of these since I have 4 dimable T5 ballast. By using the ALC module I have a nice daylight curve that mimics the natural rising and setting of the sun. It is very interesting to watch the corals and fish change behavior in the varying lighting. I really love my ALCs
