This is a great kit like many of the other salifert test kits. Its a titration based kit so when the color changes your done. Price per test along with great accuracy and reliability cant be beat.

Have tried other brands and keep coming back to Salifert. Reliable kits, easy to use. My only gripe is that the kit states it has a low resolution mode that uses less reagent for more tests per kit. I have tried this mode numerous times and found it to be unaccurate and unusable. Not sure why. But in normal resolution mode it is highly accurate, reliable and economical. Recommend.

I purchased this kit from my lfs after the Elos kit was impossible to use. This kit is straight forward and easy to use. The test worked the first time with no guessing. BRS price point is great. Five dollars cheaper than my lfs.

A very solid kH/ALK test kit. Easy to use and I find it to be very consistent and reliable. Just make sure you put the cap on tightly IMMEDIATELY after you draw up the reagent. Evaporation will cause future test to read off.

This was one of the easiest tests to use on the market and accurate too. I have several other alk test kits and they are totally confusing and not accurate. Wish I had bought this one first, I could have saved alot of money on the othe kits which I could have used to buy more equipment.

Easy,Low cost and Clear to read test kit that is a realy important part of reef keeping, I have seen what a high or low alk level can do to a reef tank and I never want to go through that loss myself. I never will this low cost great quality test kit..

I like Salifert products and I used to use their kits exclusively, until I realized the dkh almost always tests high. Test against ELOS or Hanna, the Salifert is always showing 1dkh higher than other test kits. Stability is key so you can still use this kit with great success, but know that your dkh is a bit lower than what its actually reading. At least that was from my experience

This has to be the easiest and most simple test kit out there today. It takes me more time to check for simpler things in my tank like Nitrates and Ammonia then it does for me to check the Alk. No confusing colors, just a simple blue to pink change, which is easy to see.

This kit provides a very large number of tests for the money, and the accuracy seems to be spot-on. It's very fast and easy to use. The kit provides a free calibration solution to validate your technique and the kit's validity, which is a plus. The endpoint is very easy to determine. My one complaint is that the ink tends to wear off of the measuring syringe long before one runs out of reagent.

Very good test kit. Easy to use with the exception of the blue die. The hole on the bottle is too big and results in non uniform drops. I find myself having to redo the test just to make sure the drop was accurate.

Great and reliable test kit! Easy than the elos. But both are still great. Elos seemed to be about 10 percent lower for me though.

I was using API testkits before purchasing the Alk and Cal kits from Saliferts. The testing procedure is so much more convenient and precise. I particularly like how you are able to just swirl the test vial vs having to cap and flip the testtube in the API kits. I always felt like this compromised the test as some liquid always seem to escape from the testtube. The larger Salifert test vials are easier to use and clean was well.
