The Salifert tests are a must have IMHO. Having a high quality test kit can save you money, corals, and the headaches of getting wrong values from lower quality kits.

I've been using Salifert Calcium weekly for years. I have found it not only to be FAR more accurate than other test kits, but it lasts for quite some time, even with my weekly testing. I also recommend the Alk & Mg kit for weekly maintenance testing.

I have been using one of the cheapo cal test and my #'s always showed extremely too high calcium levels. I took a sample of my water to the LFS for a test and they came up with 400. So I felt it was time to get a decent quality kit. Got the Salifert kit and was amazed at how thorough it is. 1st test indicated just over 400 and now have I have confidently raised my calcium to 450 and it seems that I am getting growth from all of my SPS. Thank you Salifert.

Good kit that is accurate with easy to follow instructions. Salifert has always been the standard when it comes to test kits. I like the fact that even though their kits are top notch, they still tweak them when needed to make them better. Small things like spoons that are easier to measure with, better syringe tips, etc.

Like Salifert's other test kits, this one is a little bit of a pain-in-the-rear to use, but it is much more accurate than most other kits on the market. I appreciate the ability to use a lower resolution test and save a little money. Reccomended to all reefkeepers, beginners and advanced.

I really like this test kit because of how the color changes. It's a no brainer, don't have to strain your eyes or guess what color it is. Seems to be more accurate then my api test, so its worth the extra step.

Salifert is a great brand if you have the extra five minutes to check your levels. In the case of Calcium, the test is very precise and gives a great range of tested values. In comparison to some of the other liquid reagent tests, this one comes out on top due to the specificity of the results that are gained. Would and will reorder once I run out, I am glad I found this test kit and will reccomend it until there is something that is better (and not out of my price range like a probe and monitor).

I won't use anything except Salifert test kits. Once I had a problem with the salt I was using. The manufacturer wanted me to send a sample of my salt to verify my test results.

Although they used high tech testing equipment to measure the Ca content, my Salifert kit measured the exact same amount!

I've used (junky) Red Sea kits, Elos kits, and Salifert. Salifert kits are in general my favorite. More tests for less money than Elos, and I feel as though there is a bit more precision as well. The syringes work well, especially with the precision tip.

I have been partial to Salifert test kits for as long as I have been Reef Keeping.
The Calcium is easy to use and going off a digital calcium monitor is as accurate as needed. I was using an Instant Ocean Calcium test because my Salifert ran out and I had one laying around from a gifting .What a garbage test I will never stray from this one again
