These look great in my Coral Farm Tank! Very easy to work with and perform perfectly for exactly what I wanted to use them for. Wish you carried longer sheets, but these work great!

I really love these. Much better than trying to make your own with regular egg crate from the local hardware store and spray painting with krylon fusion. In my area black egg crate is hard to find and I'm glad BRS has this item. Thank BRS.

The material is not brittle at all and it seems to be solid black throughout so I don't have to worry about scratches. I will be using this fin all my frag tanks from now on.

Far sexier (can we say that about eggcrate? LOL) then the white stuff found at home depot. The holes are a bit smaller then the white variety which helps with frags. Just don't use them for tank tops!!!, they will block ton of light. Get the clear mesh sold by BRS, just serch for it.

Not sure why they call it egg crate, too small for eggs! However for coral plugs it is excellent. It cuts really easily with wire cutters (or bone snips). Contrasts nicely with white coral plugs and looks pro, even if you're not!

I purchased one sheet of this for frag racks, and very pleased with it. Cuts easily, glues up great and black is perfect for main tank as is blends in better then the white only product available locally.

I bought this to use for as a top on my 38G. Very easy to work with and to "fit" on to the tank however it restricts waaayyy to much light to enter the tank. I'm gonna use it in my sump as part of my baffles now instead. Besides light issue, great packaging and good size.

BRS is probably the only place online that offers black egg crate at reasonably low price. You could order them elsewhere but you would have to purchase in bulk, which would be way to many for most of us. The cost of shipping though makes this a lot more expensive because of the irregular packaging. However, even with special handling shipping fee you still get the best product for your project as black egg crate will not leach out phosphate and cause algae bloom as the white ones do. You could buy the white ones from your local hardware store and paint it with black plastic paint but over time the paint will come off, not to mention that you only save a few bucks as oppose to just buying some black egg crates. You can't go wrong buying these black egg crates from BRS!

I was pleased to find that I wouldn't have to buy a 2x4 sheet of black. The 2x2 is a great economical choice, especially for small projects and frag tanks. It is also more rigid the white you'll find in hardware stores.

I purchased two sheets of black eggcrate and could not be more pleased. The holes are actually a little bit smaller than on the white eggcrate and so they seem to grip the plugs tighter. Also, the black eggcrate seems less inducive to algae growth than the white eggcrate. Two thumbs up.

Not a whole lot to say about this, its egg crate. Its good quality though and I definitely like the black better than the white. Was packaged well so didn't have to worry about it getting broke during shipping and is plenty big for anything that I'm going to need it for.
