Easy to connect, easy to install, looks great on top of a canopy. This ballast is quiet and relatively cool thanks to the aluminum housing and cooling fins. Very nice unit.

Well worth the money on these, they are dead silent, nice 10% overdrive feature for that extra boost of brightness. They do get hot so best to mount them somewhere they wont be spilling heat into your tank or sump. i am running 400 watt 20k bulbs which also helped cure my baby of jaundice by sitting her under them about 7 feet away for short periods.

I bought 3 of these to replace my faulty Ice Cap units. I love the ability to upgrade almp wattage without having to buy a different ballast. They are running my 250wt radiums at the moment, but I may change to 400 wt radiums next time around. Did I mention that I won't have to buy new ballasts when I do? :-)

Cannot find a SINGLE flaw in this ballast! Build is top notch. Completely silent! Gets the most from my radium bulb! Only thing, if you want to use the dimming feature make SURE your bulb says it can be dimmed. The radium bulb I bought says "not dimmable". Good thing I didn't want to use the dimmer.
