The rock is great quick to clean off then ready to add. the fit together pretty well but as i was doing an arch I used some zip ties to lock the together for sure. BRS was awesome I let them know what size rock i was looking for and they kept to that size. Were all between a baseball and a softball which meant i didnt have to break any of them hurray. best part i didnt have to cure them just a dip in a bucket of water.

I purchased this rock at 1 pound per gallon of tank volume. I received way more than I expected because it is dry and you aren't paying for water weight. After having this in my tank and cycling for two months my nitrates are always at zero (lightly loaded SPS tank). It locks together perfectly and looks like one structure. It is amazing rock to work with and I would highly recommend it.

I started up my 90 gal tank with this rock instead of live rock to save on expense. The rock is nice and light in weight and I used 100lbs. The price was great for 100lbs. The rock fits nicely together with all the angles, nooks and croonies. My only problem/complaint was that after the tank cycled and I put in my livestock, the rock started to get a green tint through the whole rock structure. I guess it's algae, but not on the surface...more like deep in the rock. When the lights are on the tank, it gives the tank a greenish tint even though the water is crystal clear. As time goes on, the tank has been set up for 3 months now, it looks like the greenish tint is starting to minimize to a lighter yellowish color. I'm hoping that with time the rock will purple up if the water parameters remain within limits. Great buy though.

Wife bought me 15lbs of this and 15lbs of Pukani for my birthday this year. She should have video'd me opening them and posted it on youtube. I'm sure some people would get a kick out of a grown man acting giddy while opening a box of rocks! These rocks are awesome. They are a little heavier than the pukani, but they are super holey and very easy to aquascape! I was able to make a sweet arch that spans my tank...looks like one of the arches from arches national park! I didn't even need any glue to hold them together. They truly interlock like legos. These are ready to go right out of the box, but you might want to give em a good swish in a tub of water to get any dust off of them. They don't need "cooking" or pressure washing like the pukani.

I'm in the process of setting a new SPS tank and am beginning with the Eco Saver Rock as a base layout. Extraodinarily easy to aquascape with in it's current form, but it drill and cuts beautifully as well. Came very well packed and very clean and after three months in the new system and the addition of two pounds of heavily coralined live rock from my frag system, it's taking on great color during the initial cycle and stabilization of the system!

Way to go BRS!! Rock arrived with very minimal chipping and breakage. Packaged very well. This is some of the most porous rock I have seen. Wouldn't hesitate to use this rock again on the next aquarium.

Ordered 75 lbs. The rocks were packed really well. Very few broken pieces. Rocks were clean and curing time will not be long. Took an ammonia measurement and it looks fine after a week.
Easy to scape with. Many rocks look like a rock pile but these rocks blend well and I have no complaints. One suggestion would be to order some smaller pieces to fill n gaps in the scape to create the look youre looking for.

I just recieved my 150lb order of reef saver rock and Im very impressed. It was well packaged and not a lot of rubble. BRS comoensated for any rubble by adding 4-5 lbs extra in each box. I sprayed it off on the drive way and didnt notice any dirtiness in the water, only a little silt. I cant wait to get this rock in my tank. It is going to allow for some easy, yet interesting rock scapes. Anyone considering the BRS reef saver rock, stop considering and "get it all ready"!

I purchased 100# of this rock to begin my reef tank. It arrived in two 50# boxes and upon opening them I was immediately pleased. The rock has the nice lumpy porous texture just like the pictures and the assortment of pieces was great for the creative aquascaper. It is truly completely dry rock so it required a generous soaking/cleaning to get rid of all the dust and powder on the rocks. I would definitely buy more for my next project!

This product is essential if you ask me its cheaper then live rock you dont have to worry about pests that will hitch hike on live rock if your going to start a brand new aquarium I highly recommend that you use dry rock instead of live rock and this rock is great for aqua scaping I have some at home and it looks amazing

Well I have to say that I ordered 24 lbs of this rock and there is no way that I received 24 lbs. I haven't weighed it yet, but I would say that I received closer to 40 lbs. I received a couple of very nice show pieces without even asking.

Even though i have not purchased this yet (cause i will) my friend did and its amazing. The rocks lock together and come clean and free of pest. They look fantastic under the T5HO lighting he uses. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting to setup a new reef tank.

I decided to setup my tank with just Dry Rock after watching the BRSTV videos. I got a mix of this and the Pukani. This rock really does stack really well. My rock is "cooking" right now, but I've played with a few pieces and I know it's going to look great. (Cooking means that you put the dry rock in a closed off container, so no light, with a heater and some circulation for about a month. This is briefly mentioned in the BRSTV videos).

I just started a new 55 gallon tank with 20 lbs of live rock. I was looking to add more rock but could not afford to go with more live. I stubbled upon this site on one of the forums and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the rocks on a Tuesday and they came on Friday (paid the lowest price for shipping). The rocks were packed extremely well and there were very few crumbles of rock at the bottom. I ordered 25 lbs and received 7 pieces, two of which are fairly large. I've read reviews on here that state they are brittle but the ones I received were very hard to break. I tried to break the largest one to make 2 smaller pieces and failed. I even tried to smash in on the cement which did not work. Overall, I am very pleased. I like the look they bring to the tank mixed with my live rock. Also, they fit together just like the video says. Great for beginners like myself. I will be ordering another 20 lbs soon.

When i recieved the package the box looked fine and it arrived on time but when i opened it there was a large layer of peanuts which is fine but for all the people new top buying rock here it comes in just one bag so becareful when removing this bag i didnt know and a lot of the rock got damaged because of this and there was peanuts all over the place

Ive purchased that expensive live rock for previous tanks and now that i had tried this dry rock i will never go back. this stuff stacks and fits together just like the video shows but is very brittle the only downside i could find. i also ordered 10 pds of rock and they sent 13 expecting there be a few broken pieces but i had only a few ounces of broken rumble. packed way better than i expected. A++++ i would recammend to the advanced or beginner reefer.

I got several pounds of these to add to existing Fiji Live Rock already in my tank when I upgraded from a 50g to 90g tank. I currently have them soaking to clean them up, but already I can see that these will go into my aquascape very easily, and add some great diversity to it. Came a little dusty, but great shapes, lots of small holes, which my fish will love. Definitely recommend and you can't beat the price.

First, BRS rocks! Literally. The reef saver rocks arrived in great shape. Only one rock was chipped. The packaging was 5 stars. Also, the price was the best that I could find on-line. Now my review.
Pros:
1) Good price/value.
2) The rocks fit together well. With a little epoxy, these rocks can be stacked together like Legos.
3) Fairly strong but not as strong as real rock.
4) Over time, these rocks will "resemble" real rock and coralline algae does grow on them.
5) Eco-friendly. Does not come from the ocean.
Cons:
1) Brittle. These "rocks" crack/chip easily.
2) Powdery. Rocks need to be rinsed thoroughly. Your water will be cloudy for a few days even after numerous rinses.
3) Not real rock. If you want a tank that looks like the ocean then I would stay with real rock. Nothing can replace mother nature.
4) This rock may increase your phosphate levels. So, monitor your levels for a few days.
5) These rocks are very white and bleached looking.
So, if you want a real, natural looking reef tank then stay with live rock but help save the environment and use this rock as base rock. For example, if you needed 150 pounds of live rock. You could use 50 pounds of reef rock as your base. This would definitely help the environment and your wallet. I hope this review was helpful.

Still working on my 120G. Ordered 120lbs and got 133 of Reef Saver. Nice sizes in boxes. Packaged better than i would have thought. out of 133lbs i got maybe 4lbs of Rubble, That i will thank UPS for as it looked like they dropped the one box. first off ordered 50lb and received 55lb which is great. after unpacking the peanuts saw the 2 bags of rocks, they were packed so well that there was less then 1lb of breakage. gave them a quick washing to get them rinsed then into tank.they fit together with a test fit so well at they looked like on big continuous rock
