I purchased this rock a few months ago and it is amazing. The rock had great shape and was very easy to stack. The rock is now covered with coralline algae and looks great!! The price can not be beat. My LFS wanted $9 a pound for live rock. I bought a one pound piece and used it to seed the dry rock. Now you cant even tell which is which. Great Product and i will defiantly be buying more when I upgrade my tank.

Where to begin? This rock is awesome! Its beautiful, porous, goes together easily. Ordered 150lbs, and received 165 from BRS. Approx 10 lbs. was small broken pieces, but that's fine. They make excellent frag plugs. It simply looks stunning in my tank! Price is right and its dead! Skip the live rock!

Ordered 20 pounds for a 10 gallon nano. When the packaged arrived I was not expecting anymore than a few rocks. What I received appears to be enough rock to fill a 30 gallon tank. I took 4 rocks out and created a realistic looking piece of a natural shaped reef and still have plenty of rock left over to create my final aquascape before I epoxy it and start the cooking process. I recommend this rock to anyone who is setting up a new aquarium!

Was setting up a 24 x 24 x 24 rimless cube and already had 30 pounds of Pukani. I went ahead and ordered 40 pounds of this based on reviews and videos I watched. If I could do it all over again, I think I may of just ordered all Reef Saver and skipped the Pukani all together!

If you're considering getting this rock but are on the fence, there are a few benefits I'd like to mention in case you are unsure of your purchase. First of all, this was very clean rock. It has a little bit of dust / build up on it, but a quick soak in some salt water and a couple power heads had it clean in no time. The Pukani I ordered was very nice looking, but it was covered in dead organic matter. It took a little more than 6 weeks to cure it completely, while I only needed a few days with the Reef Saver, and I'm not even sure that was necessary.

Second, aquascaping with this rock is as easy as everyone makes it sound. You just work with what you have and you'll make something great in under 15 minutes. I think the most difficult problem was deciding how I wanted to use the rock, it looked good no matter what I ended up doing.

Third, this rock looks very nice under my lighting. This is opinion based, but I am using half Pukani and half Reef Saver in one aquarium under a 120 watt LED fixture and I think the Reef Saver looks much nicer. I may change my mind in the future when coralline begins to propagate, but for now I think its superior visually.

At 2.50$ a pound, you really can't go wrong.

I ordered 75 pounds for my 65 gallon reef tank. 75 pounds of this stuff goes a long way. Huge peices with very little rubble in bags. Very porous with plenty of spots for easy coral placement. Fits together like Legos, tight and no epoxy or glue needed.

this is a great rock. i bought 29 pounds for my bio cube and the cycle was fast and my gobies and blennies love to swim in the caves of these rocks. they are very porous and are a great addition to any tank pest free.

I bought 126 pounds for my standard 180 gallon aquarium (6x2x2). The rock had miner break-offs and is very porous. I would say you don't need a pound per gallon but I would order maybe 10-20 more pounds just to fill out the bottom of my tank. I like to leave at least 2 inches around the perimeter so I can clean around the rock. I'd suggest this to anyone looking for some good clean rock that won't break the bank.

This rock was super easy to work with and looks seamless. I am very picky when it comes to things looking their best and this rock does just that. Fits together perfectly and doesnt look like its just a bunch of stacked rocks. THANK YOU BRS!! Great price and no effect on the ecosystem.

My aquascaping uses Pukani for the base, and about 95 lbs. of Reef Saver for the rest. It's very clean, though I did soak it in RO water for a few days to flush out the dust and such, and stacks up very well. Like they mention in the video, this stuff locks together like it was meant to be molded into shapes, and looks natural. I can't say enough good things about this rock.

Since I am starting over after an aquarium crash, I wanted to minimize any impact on the ecosystem so the BRS rock was the obvious choice.

When the rock arrived it was everything that I hoped for. Lot of nooks, crannies, some rubble for filling in, and the rock stacked beautifully to the point that I did not feel the need to secure the rock with epoxy or zip ties.

I will be ordering some more of this rock again in the future

Although I'm running a 60 gallon reef, I ordered 8lbs of the reef saver rock for an 8 gallon pico. It arrived in 3 good sized pieces, which stacked perfectly into an aquascape that looks like one rock. My only regret is not ordering this for my larger aquarium during setup.

Reef saver rock and similar low impact tank raised fish/corals are the future of this hobby, and we should all strive to support these methods.

I ordered 50 lbs and received 7 nice big pieces. I have a smaller tank so I ended up breaking up the pieces. Rock was high quality at a good price.

I got about 50 lbs for my tank. It was difficult to stack dry with out it being unsteady, i used acrylic rods and epoxy to make it work. It drilled easily and has great cracks for frags. Unfortunately it has so many little holes and tunnels and such, detritus builds up fast. I have 2 MP40s and a 750 koralia and still need to blast it with a maxi-jet very often to get everything out of the holes, and it still doesn't seem to get it all. At first it looked and felt rough, but now it looks much more reef like and has smoothed out. I recommend it if you take the time to really stack it right and willing to have some patience with it.

The rock was well packaged and was shipped quickly. It was a good assortment of rock and made aquascaping easy. My daughter that was helping said it was like playing with big heavy legos. Pieces interlock very well together and can be combined to create any kind of aquascape desired. Also thought the videos were great for showing examples and teaching the basics.

Very porous and easy to work with. Looks good and there is not need for curing because this stuff is so clean. Also inexpensive. I use this rock for all of my set-ups.

My order came fast and contained a wonderful assortment of pieces with very little rubble. The rocks were easy to arrange and arrange and arrange again. Because of their structure it is easy to interlock pieces in a way that feels structurally secure. I did not weigh my order but felt that I received a very generous and useful amount of rock. This rock is easy to get started, light and porous. very to easy to aquascape. You get some rubble, but over all the pieces are the size you see in the pictures.

This is some awesome dry rock! Very easy to rockscape with as it stacks easily and locks in place all while hiding the seams of your rockscape giving the appearance of what is found in a natural reef!

I am adding this rock to my 180 that already has 100# of live rock. This rock is perfect! It blends in nicely, easy to aquascape, and price is unbeatable.

Received the reef saver dry rock in a nicely packaged box and just like lot of others comments, there were minimal breakoff and the sizes of the rocks were really nice and so easy to work with. The pores on the rock are physical characteristics and they interlock very well to combine into creative pieces. Would definitely recommend it to others who are in the market to shop for dry rock or even live rock if on a tight budget.

super easy to aquascape, and fitted like a glove where ever you put the rock. Its like they said you can scape anything with in minutes. Best part of it as well its clean and pest free!!

Good lookiog rock stacks nice looks like one big rock, easy to aquascape with it. It feels good to know I am not messing with our reefs natural eco system, and I wont have any hitchhickers in my aquarium. Plus it's priced good compared to some of the live rock prices out there.

The shipping was fast and rock was well packaged. Not much breakage from shipping and what little there was worked out well because it gave me enough small pieces to work with so I didn't have to order any small rubble to help things blend. This is my favorite rock so far for any of my tanks, very impressed.

I received the 40# of reef saver rock I ordered last Friday, they put about 47# worth in. Don't hesitate to buy this rock, they give you more than you paid for and it looks great and easy to stack.

I really love this stuff. I want clean hitchhiker-free rock. I do not want indeterminate biodiversity--I want only what I put in the tank. And that's what this gives me--beautiful, clean rock.

The only downside is the rock is pretty brittle and can create a lot of rubble. You also have to be patient with building up your own coraline.

These rocks look great when stacked, which is not an easy find.

I am very pleased with the 20lbs of rock that I purchased, I have a pretty decent amount of rock in my 120Gallon but I needed to fill in a few major gaps... anyway the 20 lbs of rock came in 3 rocks, one huge porous rock, one large porous rock and one small/medium rock.. all look great and my starry blenny already found himself a few holes to hide in.

I ordered 30 pounds of reef saver rock and 35 pounds of pukani rock both rocks were perfect. I personally like the reef saver rock better its exactly as pictured and is very pouris. You will never see rock like this at your local fish store.

I received more than I ordered, which considering how light the rock is, gave me quite a bit to work with. The rock is not "sterile" as it has dead matter on it from being pulled from the ocean. A good rinsing to remove dust and sand and placed it in the tank. The rock had enough matter on it to start the ammonia cycle. Very satisfied with it.

Ground shipment arrived in 3 business days. The rock was packaged very securely, and had minimal break off. I ordered 175 lbs. and received 177. Rock looks great! Will definetly do business with BRS again!

I purchased 50lbs of this rock a few weeks ago. When I got it I had mostly large peices. There was a little breakage in the box but it seemed like I got more then I had ordered so I was not concerned with the small amount. The rock looks great in my tank and I wish I had went with just this rock from the start. It interlocks fantastically and makes beautiful landscapes. I would highly recommend it.

Ordered 60lbs of the reef saver rock and was stunned at how cool the rock was. Pretty light so I got my bag out of my buck. it is a bit brittle so expect some small pieces to break off. In my case, Ill use those for my sump.

This is great rock. Save yourself some cash and start with this. Avoid the $10/lb stuff at your lfs and start with this. Only draw back i have found was that there was a little more broken rocks/rubble than i was expecting(approx. 5lbs).
