My 75GPD 6-stage chloramines RO/DI kit was more like a 35-40GPD system until I got this pump. Water used to trickle out so slowly. The TDS going in to the DI stage was high as well and I was tearing through DI resin like crazy. When I added this pump, I had to turn it down a little to get back to 80psi by using the small hex screw in the center of the top and turning it counter-clockwise. Water shoots out so much faster (80-90GPD) and the TDS is lower out of the RO stage. The only mistake was mounting this to a wall - the vibration is carried through the house and it makes it pretty loud. I will try moving it to another surface that is de-coupled from the wall.

This is really a neat little pump, it comes with everything you would need to boost the pressure to your ro system. It boosted my pressure from 45lbs to around 90lbs. It is a little noisy and needs to be mounted to something so it dosnt walk around. Its easy to hook up, just snip out a short section of supply hose, and a short section of the hose that goes to your storage tank to insert the pressure switch. When you float rises, the pump will shut off automatically.

This works great! Bought the 75gpd RO/DI unit and when I got it set up I was VERY disappointed to find I only had about 30 psi and a periodic trickle of filtered water coming out. Purchased the booster pump and patiently (not really lol) waited for it to come so I could get rolling on curing the dry rock I previously purchased. Hooked it up and started getting nearly 100 psi!! Had to turn it back a little. Now pulling a steady 80 psi at 0 tds and have my rock curing in the basement!! :-) Next purchase might just have to be the converter kit to increase my unit to the 150 gpd now that I have the pump and know it could handle it!! :-)

I get 60psi from my municipal water supply. When someone is using water, it's alot less. This eliminates the problem. Im getting 90psi constantly. 1# Doubles production 2# Better rejection rate.,reduces TDS before the DI canisters from 14 before the pump to 7-8 TDS. Saves DI Resin.

Was getting only 28-30PSI before getting this unit. I live in an old factory converted to a high rise apartment complex.
I initially looked on ebay for a cheap unit, but after adding it all up, you really arent saving much money. I spent the extra $20 or so on the Aquatec 8800 kit from BRS and am very happy that I did.
After installing this, I get a steady 90PSI. My RO/DI output is a steady stream of water where it used to be a couple drips per second.
Pump is quiet, installation a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

So this certainly improved my RO/DI unit in combination with the 75gl extra membrane. I wasn’t getting the amount the video stated till I understood that I needed the extra pressure. I am glad I got the full kit and not just the pump. I like it when all the parts needed are on hand and just to be installed instead of tracking down all the parts to actually use the pump. Less water to waste and collect for other use’s helps with the water bill.

I purchased this kit when last year when I moved to the country. I use it in conjunction with the Auto Shutoff Kit and am able to let my RO/DI system run continuously (if I forget to turn it off). This pump has brought me up from 40 PSI to 70PSI. I initially had to adjust it the output down from 90 PSI but have not had any problems with it. It is by no means silent, but I have it in my unfinished basement and can't hear it upstairs.

Yeah - your bill is adding up and it seems to be a huge increase to the cost of your new system. I was getting 55 psi out of my house water, and I'm glad I pulled the trigger here. What I have found is that anything you can do to reduce the amount of waste water (rejection rates) the better - I haven't regretted this purchase at all - in fact, I want to say its a must, especially if you are doing the 150gpd upgrade kit.

Can't beat for winter preparation! By Brandon on 10/18/12
Brandon would recommend this product to a friend
This pump is even better than I expected. It was simple to install. Not to mention, it's much quieter than I had expected! I thought as soon as I plugged this thing it, it would sound like a small air compressor, man was I wrong! I purchased this pump because I run a 90gpd piggy-back. My home water pressure is around 60psi in the summer, however, with the winter coming along, the cold water drastically reduces the pressure. I see such a pressure drop because this unit is setup in an outside Rubbermaid storage shed specifically for hobby items. This includes two 32 gallon Brute trash cans for fresh and saltwater mix. The water runs from a 75 foot hose from the house, to the RO/DI unit. Last year, I experienced pressures so low during the winter, I had to take my additional piggy-back membrane off and just run one. This year, with the additional pressure from the pump, I'll be prepared for winter! I highly recommend this product. Not to mention, you can't beat BRS' price on this!

Great unit! 220v side note By Chris on 10/15/12
Chris would recommend this product to a friend
I must say that is is a great product for anyone not getting the required psi into their RO system. The unit is small, quiet and well bulit. I prurchased the booster pump because I was only getting, at best, 40 psi into the RO membraine. Now I am seeing 88 psi. With the 150 gpd upgrade and this pump my production has dramically increased and I am seeing a 1:1 ratio. Well worth the money!!!!
As a side note, any one who is living in an country that uses 220v you must buy a special converter for this unit. The 220v power supply can be found on this website: isopurewater.com and the item number is:TACS234-48RF. It will cost about 35.00 plus shipping.
Happy Reefing!!

I have three RO systems my main aquarium water system has two 75 GPD membranes that produce a total of 150 GPD. I have good water pressure but I wanted good control. Typical RO systems with mechanical ASO valves are extremely unreliable. With this system using a booster pump and a pressure switch and an added normally closed 24V solenoid make it extremely reliable for my application. The pump is extremely quiet and produces a lot of quality water my TDS before the booster was 7-16 PPM and now it is 5-7 PPM before the DI stage. I fill my 25 gallon container in about 3 hours so I'm actually producing over 150 GPD (200 GPD). I also have a system using a 6800 booster pump and I have to say this pump is a huge improvement. I strongly recommend using a 24v Solenoid if you are using a float switch way over an ASO. Great value great performer the kit really needs to include a solenoid to shut the water to the membrane for that added security. I found that my ASO often turned on after the tank was full wasting water to drain I guess all I can say is an ASO valve is better than nothing.

Great product, increased my water production greatly By Jared on 7/8/12
Jared would recommend this product to a friend
Up until recently I relied on my household water pressure to run my RO/DI system. At only 40-55psi max it would take roughly an hour to make one gallon of product water. I made this purchase and have never looked back; I can't believe I waited so long for this. I have been running my system for almost 2 years before I made the leap and purchased the booster pump. I have went from producing 1 gallon an hour to 3.5 an hour. The waste water volume has also reduced along with the time interval it takes for my DI resin to exhaust. The volume of water that used to take me two and almost 3 three days now takes less than one. I can't express how delighted I'm for this product.

Works amazingly well with AWI Typhoon RODI By Shawn on 2/23/12
Shawn would recommend this product to a friend
I have the Air Water Ice Typhoon Extreme III RO/DI system. It worked *ok* on city water pressure around 35-40psi. I've since moved to my new house where my well water pressure is only around 25psi and the RO/DI output is awful. Admittedly, I needed to change the RO filters, but it took THREE hours to fill a 5 gallon bucket….Three hours!!! I knew a booster pump was definitely needed.
I was considering the pump that AWI sells, but heard mixed reviews so I tried this one given the great reviews here and on all the saltwater forums. I’m glad I did!!! This baby is sweet. Super easy to setup and the pressure switch works perfectly for shutting off the pump when my ASOV kicks in. You can barely hear it running too.
The AWI RO/DI I have says that you shouldn’t go above 75psi so I was able to fine tune the pump (using adjustment screw on top) to give me 70psi and the water production rate is SO much better. The most satisfying test is just turning the pump off and seeing how pathetic the flow rate into your holding container is! Then plug it back in and watch the water start streaming out!
The rejection rate also seemed to get better too. I don’t have exact percentages because I forget what my well water TDS was to start with…but I can say that my TDS out of the RO membrane fluctuates between 1 or 2 WITH the pump. Without the pump, I was getting 4-6 pretty consistently. Naturally it is 0 out of my DI…but the lower the TDS is on the input to the DI, the less money you pay in DI replacements!

I just added this to my system when I upgraded from 75 gpd to 150 gpd. My pressure was just under 55 psi and I split my rodi output line in 3 different directions. I would never be able to fill 3 different containers at the same time...until now that is. With the booster pump my psi gauge is full throttle and I can fill all 3 containers at the same time when needed. You won't regret this investment.

Before I installed this my house was pressurizing the input at 45psi which ended up meaning that the RO/DI 5 stage was producing 37 gallons per day, way below optimum.
After installing the pump I was producing water at 72 gallons per day, extremely close to the touted 75 GPD for the RO/DI sold on BRS.
