this leak detector is good. I had it under my tank without my r/o even hooked up you and my skimmer over flowed and set it off and I heard the beeping saved a mess

brought this after a large RO/DI accident, the auto shut off of water supply is key and will give you much piece of mind on auto refill set-ups. The alarm is loud enough to draw attention. It's on my house filter system for the same reason, that one came with the house!

I got this with the 5 stage ro/di from here. Never used it. The other night I forgot to shut off the water and yeah....woke up to a mess. Thought to self...ok idiot self, lets find that thing and hook it up. Took all of 5 minutes to rig up...I pulled my same trick (on purpose this time) with this thing and it overflowed for 4 seconds and tripped it. Works perfect.

This was the best $45 investment - I have an old sump that I use for ro/di and the sump sits in a plastic tub - the tub has the sensor that not only sounds, but also shuts off the supply. It has saved me at least twice aleady. See here what happens when you don't buy this:

Bought one of these to be "safe" when running my RO filters, as I quickly forget to turn the water off sometimes. After setting up my water change tank(40Br), I found that I didn't tighten the bulkhead up enough, so I was dripping as I was filling up for the first time. The paper towel quickly soaked up the water, set off the detector, and immediately shut off my RO, preventing a flood. Will be purchasing a second one to run my dosing/top off pump through to prevent it from causing problems as well.
