Much better than any home imporvement store can offer By Kathy on 3/7/13

Our 15 year old drinking water RO system from Sears burst about 3 months after I purchased the 4 stage RO/DI from BRS for my fish tanks. Decided to use the 4 stage at our shop and purchase this system with the holding tank for drinking water after looking at Lowes and HDepot. Nothing they had compared to this unit for ease of use, availability of replacement components and water quality.
Installed the whole unit minus the DI canister under kitchen sink. Ran line to DI unit in basement for fish tanks. Watched video to confirm installation. Easy hook up. Directions a little confusing for extra tap- look VERY closely at the picture and watch the video. Water filling the drinking water tank and when running DI water for fish tanks is a little noisey but a good reminder your water is running if you don't have a ATO. :) TDS Meter on DI unit is so worth the xtra few bucks. Changing filters is a breeze, color changing media makes it rediculously easy. Best tasting water that doesn't run through DI. Wish I knew about BRS years ago, only place to find fittings and the most affordable RO/DI system on the market. Highly recommended.

Great Buy. By Chase on 9/11/12

I've had the system in for about 3 months now and couldn't be happier. Was a breeze to install. All the brackets and canisters are sturdy and solidly built. Came with more hose than I would ever need and the connections make things easy to take apart if you make a mistake or need to redo some routing under the sink.
My water is at 90 psi (I know it's high) but no leaks. I would recommend the 150 gal upgrade. Puts out 3 tds water out of the RO filter for drinking and cooking, down from around 360 tds out of the tap.
The water did have a rubber taste for a few days from the bladder in the storage tank, which was expected and did go away after the tank was broken in. The faucet can be a bit loud when the system is making water, but it lets me know that the system is making water. It has been well worth the price and BRS support is top notch.

Too Easy! By Scott on 9/5/12

This system is well thought out to say the least. I had the online video playing on my laptop while I installed the system and I only had to pause it a few times to keep up with the pace of the video. The faucet is a bit noisy when the system is circulating, but that is the ONLY concern I could think of. Great product, worth every cent!

compared other brand of RO/DI, this buy far is the best value. in used for about six months still 0 tds. 92 gal 20% water change every two weeks in addition to regular house hold use. recomend the 150gal upgrade. fairly easy install, just make sure you have the correct drill bit to create hole in sink.

Very easy install and great results for water taste By Andrew on 7/24/12

I bought this for two reason. Before I got back into the hobby I was considering buying a standalone RO system for drinking water. We consume a large amount of bottled water in our house due to the taste of our tap water. I have unsuccessfully tried to get everyone to use the Pur filter. It just didn't cut it. With this system the water taste was completely addressed. I'm now proud to report we all buy stopped buying bottled water.
For the full RO/DI part I'm also happy to report that I see zero TDS water being made. I don't know what my supply is though. The RO is supplying 9-15PPM to the DI unit.
All in all very pleased and looking forward to years of great clean drinking water and a tank with happy fish and inverts.

This thing I have in the kitchen. Works great for keeping the tanks full of clean 0 TDS water. And on a + note it keeps the wife happy with pure clean drinking water. We had to upgrade and add another 75 gpd membrane to it. Because it is used so much everyday for drinking. Great product

Simple install with the video By kenneth on 1/29/12
kenneth would recommend this product to a friend
This kit came complete with every possible fitting needed to install. Written instructions were good, but the video is all you need. The push connect fittings are a dream to work with. Almost too easy. Spend some time considering where you will mount it to make accessing the cartridges less of a hassle. The pressure tank holds about 2 gallons of water the way I have it set up. Not sure if I can actually get it to hold more. My experience with pressure (bladder) tanks is that they need to be pressurized to about 5psi *below* your water system pressure. My tank had zero pressure, so I pumped it up a bit.
After install, I dumped the first 5 gallons of RO product water and it tasted great after that. Same for the DI water. This is from a well with lots of iron bacteria and sulfur odors. This system produces beautiful drinking water and, of course, DI water with zero TDS. Reccomend a TDS meter as well - also easy to install and will satisfy your need to know what is really going on. Booster pump is a plus too if you are on a well.

Excellent Product Easy to Install By Sidewayz on 11/11/11

I purchased this unit in October 2011 and have enjoyed the benefits so far. It comes with almost everything you need in the box. I had to go to Lowes to get a few different connections but everything is compatible. I extended the D I out put line to 35 ft and put a shut off in line so I can just put it in the tank and turn it on for top off water. Very good value and the water from the tap/tank actually tastes great. I have it connected to my fridge as well for the ice maker. Very helpful on the phone as well.

Great system By Wayne on 8/5/11

I installed this about 6 months ago, and it was a bit intimidating installing it. But my reef is all the better for it, and I don't have to lug jugs of water to the water store any more. When I got my order, BRS sent the wrong part, but they quickly sent out a replacement. So no harm no foul there. Finally, just a word of warning, that the water dispenser head that comes with the system has an air stop valve in it that is required by CA code. It works well, but by its nature very loud.
The water produced taste great too!

Easy to install, can now drink the water at my house, and the tank likes it to. Only thing I would reccomend is if you think you have low water pressure order the boster pump from the get go so you dont have to wait another week to get the system running.

Have been wanting to set up an RO/DI system that would supply us with drinking water at the sink as well as bulk storage for my reef. This system was super easy to install, works like a champ and produces sparkling clear, great tasting drinking water as well as 0ppm TDS water for my reef which means no more lugging plastic jugs to the local store for drinking water and no more weekly trips to my local reef specialist for my tank water.
The installation videos made everything a breeze. Great job, BRS!

RO for all your water needs By James on 3/18/11

I was looking into a RO drinking water system last year before I ever thought about setting up my own saltwater aquarium. i passed on the idea, then, because of cost. In January (2011) I decided to setup my first saltwater tank and quickly learned about the benefits of using RO/DI water in your system. Now I could have purchased water from my LFS ($$$) but I calculated the RO/DI system would pay for itself in 8 months verses buying my water (worst case scenario). My calculation didn't include gasoline usage to drive to the LFS nor the price for all the containers I would need to transport it to and from locations.
Installation was straight forward thanks to the video Bulk Reef Supply produced. In my case, I couldn't fit everything under my kitchen sink. Since there was more than enough tubing included in the kit, I was able to relocated my 3 gallon storage tank into the "dead space" between my angled cabinets.
The only issue I had with my order was the saddle valve shipped with my system. I received a valve for 1/4" tubing instead of the 3/8" necessary for connecting your waste line. They guys promptly sent out the correct size and I received it the following business day. Since I had already drilled the waste water hole, I simply covered it with some duct tape and waited until the part arrived to complete the install.

Picked this system up last year after I got tired of getting RODI water from my local shop every friday. After checking several places I finally decided on buying it from BRS due to the price for what you get.
The 75gpd member is supposed to have the best rejection rate so you don't flush as much water down the drain. Everything is fairly easy to setup and the storage tank actually fit under my small cabinet. I have the tank feeding into my fridge for water and ice.
The system came with everything needed to get the system up and running, the only other thing you might need is a way to hook it up to the fridge. If you have a 1/4" thread on the fridge you need to get 1/4" female threaded to 1/4 push connect adapter and a 3-way T.
Aside from that you may want to get a pressure gauge to find out if you need a booster pump. These operate at their rating under certain conditions such as temperature and feed pressure. You need at least 50 PSI but I believe to get the rated output you need 65 PSI. If you do need a booster pump be sure you grab an aquatek, they are made in the US and they actually last.

At first, I received a unit that had a cracked nipple, and had a bit of a problem. Reed was great in handling the issue, and made it right by getting me 2 replacement canisters for a quick and solid fix leaving no possibility of compromise with the system integrity and replacing the canisters, and not just the nipples. They shipped it overnight in order to make sure I could start using this now perfect RO/DI system. I have moderate water pressure, so I think I may need a booster pump.. So i think I'll buy one here, and go from customer to client. Thanks for standing behind your product, your company, and your customers! Thanks again Reed and Bulkreefsupply

Excellent Product - For Fish and for Home! By Rob on 1/10/11
Rob would recommend this product to a friend
I have been using the 5-stage RO/DI system with the drinking water kit for 9 months now and I am extremely impressed.
The quality of the equipment seemed very solid out of the box and it has proved to live up to the initial impression. I am using this for water for my reef system as well as for drinking water supply to a refrigerator and to a wet bar. Had to make sure the fish didn’t get better water than the family!
Although my city water isn’t horrible out of the faucet (~275 TDS on average), I was still amazed to see water coming out of the RO membrane at 2-3. I have to credit this to the multiple sediment filters and carbon blocks prior to the membrane. Even 9 months later, still getting 5-6 out of the RO and haven’t had to change the DI resin yet!
The instructions on how to install are very clear and the service on the phone when I had any questions during set up was excellent (as service always is at BRS).
The price for the set up was reasonable up front, and when I count in the fact that it works so well, thus I don’t burn through a lot of filter media or DI resin, this has been an excellent purchase from the financial perspective.
