Excellent Fish Food By David on 6/16/2015

No phosphate. Sinks slowly so the fish have time to feed on it. All my fish eat it. A little bit goes a long way, worth the higher cost.
The fish loves this food they go right for it when i dope some in and they sink pretty slow for them to get before it hits the floor. Great product. By Christian on 3/17/2015

what brought me to this stuff was the lack of phosphate that is used in it.. i have fed my tank a variety of food but never seem to find one that everyone seemed to like.. well, everyone including to my surprise my mandarin, loves! I caught him on day two chasing a pellet on the sandbed.. he sucked it up and spit it out and then it hit him.. chased it down and never looked back. Up until now I've been feeding him live pods as he never took to the other pellet foods.. now im not saying your mandarin will take to this like mine, just voicing my experience with this product. yes, its pricey, but what isn't in this hobby?

Love this food and so do my fish. A little goes a long way. Sinks slowly so I like to place it in a high flow area away from the overflow intakes. No added phosphate which is a big plus. Worth the extra money for fish and tank health.

Finally done with frozen fish food . My tank has two black clowns one blue damsel with yellow tail , one royal gramma, one sunburst anthiest, one hippo tang ,one tomini tang ,one flame Angel and one pistol shrimp . I also feed it to my lps corals and they love it .They all eat it and fish are healthier than ever. Almost no wasted food going over overflow due to the slow sinking. Only thing I don't like about this product is the amount you get for the price . That being said my nitrates have never been lower ,no more straining frozen food . For me it's a trade off between extra prep time before feeding or a few more bucks and my time is more valuable. I have bought two of the small cans ,next I will get the largest available.

Crack spoon included! LOL By MMM on 12/9/2013

Fish food is fish food right - NOT! I feed a variety of foods at different times of the day so the reaction to this food was without question a shock to me. At first I tossed in on "crack spoon" full of food, within seconds it was game on. I threw in a second and same reaction. Every fish in the tank seemed to rush to the surface. After almost 2 weeks of feeding (feed it once per day) they still react the same way. I get nothing close to the same reaction with mysis and cobalt - those 2 were the favorite before this stuff. This stuff takes forever to sink, the fish love it. Comes in a moisture sealed container with a little spoon inside that keeps my paws from pinching food. Doesnt smell and did i mention my fish love it?

For the price I really expected the fish to go crazy for this food. It doesn't sink as slow as you would think. I can buy food that is just as good and my fish go nuts over for less than half the cost. It dies make your fish dart around, trying to catch it as it falls to the bottom.

Been using the product for years, my clown loves it! Also the shrimp goes to the top of the water and grabs it from the surface... He cant get enough. Good stuff, lasts a long time if you only have a few fish, I'm on my third bottle now. go thru about one a year.

This food has worked the best for me. The pellets sink very slowly thus allowing my fish to eat them long before they would settle on the substrate. A little goes a long way and my fish look very healthy. It does not contain any phosphate. Great product.

For what you get its kind of pricey. I dont use it on my main tank because it would be gone in a couple weeks. I use it just for a pair of clowns and they go nuts for it. Just wish that you got more for the money.

Great fish food! My fish and inverts both eat it and enjoy it. It doesn't fall apart and create a phosphate factory in my tank. It floats and if you hold it underwater for a second it will slowly sink. A little expensive but also one of the better foods on the market. The jar is very small but worth it for the benefits you get. I will be purchasing it again.

I have a very picky GSM maroon that was used to live brine shrimp and would not eat frozen or prepared foods. After trying many kinds of food and reading reviews on the BRS site i tried Elos sv.M2 Marine Fish Food soaked in Selcon. The result was great and the picky GSM clown loves it.

Not much quantity in the can, but the quality makes up for that! I have a pink square anthias that turned his gills to other flake food, but he ate this the first time it hit the water. I just submerge a pinch and it sinks at a reasonable rate.

I got some of this for free from Jesse with my new Elos 100, and I was surprised at how good this food is. The fish love it, it sinks at the proper speed (you can accelerate it if you need to by swirling with aquarium water in a cup first). Fish health and color is excellent while using this food (in conjunction with Rod's and Cycolp-Eze).

I highly suggest this food.. as it says, it releases less of the food into your aquarium water and more of it into your fishes stomach.
I feed it, along with pe mysis and NLS to my two clowns and firefish daily and they love it!!!

Been uning this product for only a short time but so far so good. Fish seem to like it and I'm excited to be using a food that has no phosphates. My only dislikes so far is that some of the granules float so you must turn off your pump to feed so the food doesn't go down the weir. Also, smaller fish seem to have a problem eating the granules, can't tell if the granules are too big, or too dry.

I have been using the New Life Spectrum Pellets for a while and decided to try the Elos after reading the reviews. I was somewhat disappointed with the way the Elos brand left many pellets floating which eventually ended up in my sump.
Fish Love This Stuff By Duane on 3/20/2011
Duane would recommend this product to a friend
I got my first order of Elos Fish Food a few days ago. I am impressed with the packaging and the metal can to keep it fresh. My fish love this food. It sinks quickly so it does not go down the overflow and into my sump. Because it sinks quickly, it make the fish hunt and search for their food, which is what they are required to do in nature. I am very happy with the food. Yes, it is more expensive than the popular flake and pellet foods, but when you see your fish go into a feeding frenzy you will know it is worth it.

10001110101 would recommend this product to a friend
Giving this a go, switching from New Life Spectrum which I had previously thought to be a miracle food as far as color enhancement and overall health and vigor of fish that will eat it. I like the fact that this doesn't have any polyphosphate like most foods, even NLS. I only have one fish eating it right now, a Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse but he devours it, and prefers it over NLS. Pellets stay afloat better in the water column for more targeted feeding, seem more digestible at least more palatable, the flasher would spit out NLS pellets over and over before finally getting them down. If this enhances color and vitality as well as NLS it will be my new staple food.

I really like how it doesn't create an oil slick on the surface of the water and I do feel the added steps elos takes to make a quality fish food results in something worthwhile. You do pay for it but what the hell it is only a few bucks more a month.

I feed my clown fish in a 8g nano with this food. He thrives on it. The small size makes it easy to feed a small amount. His host frogspawn coral loves it as well.
