This is a very porous rock which means you get more rock for less money. The shipment I received did have 1 12lb piece that was not Pukani however I liked the look of it and so used it anyway. You need to pay attention to make sure you remove all the dead sponge off this rock. My shipment had a couple pieces with quite a bit of dead sponge still attached.

this rock is very lite . I think its great as you can fill your tank and not have the same amount of rock that is three times more heavy it also breaks well to make other shapes

I ordered 15lbs. for my 12 gallon long and it looks like 30lbs. of rock and is very light in weight. Very easy to hacksaw these rocks in half in about 3-5 minutes. They came very clean and 90% of what I received was ivory white in color. As this is my first marine tank I took more extensive preventative counter measure and played with the bleach bath then with the muriatic acid bath to reduce the amount of dead stuff that can't be seen and to mitigate high levels of leaching phosphates. Yes, this rock does leach phosphates of up 0.25 ppm in my third week of cycle with no livestock. This pukani looks absolutely brilliant aesthetically and even luxurious compared to the other boring common boulder shaped types. You can easily shape these into vertical towers!!

10 years in hobby and nothing has ever been so nice. A 10-15 pound piece is easily 4 x larger than typical Fiji rock. I doubt you could get 70 pounds of this in a 100 gallons. So full of holes and crevices. Fish love to hide in rock and makes many places to mount corals

I ordered 60lbs of this rock and they sent me 4 really big pieces and 2 shelves and ofcourse some rubble. I would of liked some smaller pieces but I will just break one of the bigger ones up. Great product and I can't believe how much of the rock you get for the weight.

This rock is so light and takes up so much space. I was able to fill my 125 gal with a nice look with only 60lbs and a few pounds of existing rock. The rock came as 4 basket ball size pieces which was kind of aggrivating at first. But after the fact it was great cuz I was able to chip away at them and break them exactly how I wanted them.

Requested large pieces for my new tank and they sent the largest pieces of rock I have ever seen. They also sent an extra 20lbs on top of my order to be sure they hit 100lbs. The rock is really nice. Its basically dead coral in huge formations. I hope it come from a green source :)

Very light and very porous lot goes a long way here. At one point this stuff was alive because my shipment came with some hidden dead crabs and critters. Not a big deal but that means they will decay and start a small cycle. recommend rinsing thoroughly before putting into an established tank, or for the more adventurous, rinse the rock with ro/di water and lanthanum to remove phosphates.

I setup a new 210 gal tank using this rock. It looks absolutely wonderful! I've had several other reefers comment on the great look. I've read that some have experienced phosphate with the rock but I never had an issue.

This stuff really goes a long way for your money compared to other types of rock. Since it's so porous it's lightweight. Therefore you get more pieces per pound. It has lots of holes and crevices making it ideal for mounting frag plugs. After watching a short BRS video I was able to carve caves and tunnels through the rocks using a hammer and flathead screwdriver in just minutes. Great way to start up an aquarium.

I actually posted in the question area to reassert that this is THE best site to buy your marine product. Can't praise these guys enough. I bought a mere 30lbs of rock thinking it may be just adequate to start my 28 gal Nano cube. What I rec'd was 8 pieces of SOLID, beautiful aquascaping rock. It almost makes me want to start another tank, no idea what I'm going to do with the ample extra rock. Absolutely NO rubble, solidly packed...I know I'll be buying from these guys in the future. This rock is gorgeous. It's very light, so don't order too much. 50lb for a 75g tank is about right. It also comes in chunks that are upward of a foot in each dimension. It'd work great for a nano (the delicate little webby stuff is small enough that you get a lot of interesting detail in a very small space) but you'd better buy a chisel or a hacksaw.

this rock is much more interesting to look at in a tank. Of course once it is covered with corals that will not matter but a fish only tank would benefit from this as it has an appeal to look at and many nooks and crannies for fish and inverts to hide in. You get tons of rock compared to other rock type as it is much lighter.

Ordered 85lbs for my 75gal tank. I was sent several large pieces and a few others that made great base rock. There were many flat spots perfect for corral placement. The only "issue" which was that its hard to fit 75lbs of the Pukani rock in my 48x18x24 tank since its so porris, A great problem to have!

Don't pass up this rock. I spent months debating between live rock and dry rock. But once I found pukani dry rock on BRS, I was hooked. The rock is so porous it is a shock when you first pick up a piece of it. It lends itself well to aquascaping and looks amazing in my aquarium.

Big beautiful pieces! I requested large pieces and that's exactly what I got. I ordered 100 pounds to fill up my 110 gallon tank and got 4 large pieces (equivalent to large pumpkins) and a few cantaloupe size with small amount of rubble. After curing, the bacteria cultured extremely well. So far it's been handling all the load I can throw at it (heavy fish/coral feeding). Will definitley recommend it to anyone and will be buying more.

I used this rock in my build and was very impressed with how LARGE the rock was for how LITTLE it weighed. Why pay for water weight when you can be patient and seed the rock yourself.
