I ordered 40lbs and received close to 50lbs. Very nice looking and very porous. MAKE SURE YOU CURE THE ROCK. It has a good amount of dead matter attached and within it. My rock is still in the curing process with the ammonia levels still very high so I have about two more weeks to go....

After spending way to much money on heavy dense life rock, I found BRS and their Eco rock. Not only is one of the most cost efficient solutions on the market, but It looks great! I always looked at other reefers tank and wondered how they got those amazing aquascapes, now I have people asking me. Also they have so many nook and crannies that copepods can hide in my mandarin is getting chubby!

BRS Pukani dry rock is a great purchase for any aquarium. I was very pleased with how the rock was packaged, it was protected extremely well! Everyone keeps saying how light this stuff, and how big it is. I was planning a 75 gallon tank, and ordered 70 lbs. Wow! I got enough to probably fill a 150g tank! Amazing stuff! At least I'll have the pick of the litter to aquascape with!

I added one 15lb piece of Pukani to my reef saver order and ask BRS for a showroom quality rock. What they sent me was one stunning piece of rock that would be the highlight of any reef tank.

My request to BRS was simple. 70lbs of reef saver appropriate for a 145 gal reef tank, and a 15lb showroom quality piece of Pukani. What I received would thrill anyone that wants a tank that looks naturally aqua-scaped.

Very well packaged with enough foam pellets to open my own shop. No real rubble at all, just a tiny bit of dust.

If you are going to spend the time, the effort, and the money to have a truly spectacular reef tank, the eco-rox from BRS will not only safe you money, it will be one purchase you never regret.

ordered 30# of pukani, got some really cool pieces, but ALOT of it got really busted up in shipping i guess. It is very fragile. this rock is also really dirty compared to the reef saver rock. definitly must cure it for awhile. For the price I think it is a good deal compared to live rock and would order again.

I am new to the saltwater hobby. I am in the process of setting up my 30L tank. I ordered 20lbs and received about 24-25lbs. It all fits great in my tank. I don't think much more can fit in there. What more do you need to know...Light and porous for maximal surface area making it the best biological filter. Its appearance is unique and reminds me a a cave effect. I have easily aquascaped this product by using a mallet and forcing plastic dowels through it to keep rocks stacked

I have just finished two days of playing with the Pukani base rock that I ordered recently, and it is fantastic. The pictures shown are absolutely not "cherry pick" pieces of rock, as virtually all of my pieces are of very similar look and texture. It stacks very well and very sturdily, and has far more interesting shapes than the more common live rock found in my local fish stores.

The rock was packed very well, in two separate bags with liberal packing peanuts in a sturdy box. The rock is a bit rough, and tore through the bags in a few places as I was pulling it out, but no real issue there. I will say that there is a larger amount of dead biomass on the rock than I expected, and would not recommend this rock to be put directly into an established aquarium. I plan to cure the rock myself in unlit tubs for as long as necessary for this stuff to decompose and break down, and would highly recommend that anyone using it research the process of "cooking" rock and implement it with this Pukani rock.

Don’t have the tank established fully yet, currently cycling, so will take a year for my full opinion. Pleased with the size to weigh volume. I asked for some larger pieces and I got them, NICE. The rock does have a lot of old organics to marinate off. As I am starting new I wanted some to help cycle, cured for two weeks and blasted with city water pressure in the middle after one week. Seemed to give a good balance and remove the big chunks. If I need more rock this is what I will get. Rock arrived very well packaged with little to no breakage. They were pretty accurate on the weight got about 1 lb more than ordered.

If your looking for a nice porous rock for your system you can go wrong here. These days you have to be careful with live rock, so many of them carry so many hitchhikers that are not great for your tank.

If you are trying to establish a tank this rock would be perfect. However, my tank has been up and running for a year and a half so I cant add any rock that has brown organics all over it into my tank. I understand you can cure it but personally I don't have the resources or the time for that. I'll plop in some reefsaver any day!

not nearly as porous as the pictured rock, i defiantly prefer this over the eco rock. the eco-rock felt solid as was impossible to break with a hammer, it was like iron. this rock was true old calcium carbonate rock and will break easy.i would suggest 100% of this vs the eco rock. great price and the second best rock iv'e ever gotten (marko Australasian spaghetti is my #1)

I searched and searched forums and suppliers for a dry rock source before deciding on BRS. Pukani was my choice because of what I read, the rock's porosity, and its looks. The description says its lighter than other rock so instead of ordering 1.5 # per gallon, I ordered 1#, which came to 30 pounds. True to what I've heard about BRS, I found 35# of PRIMO Pukani chunks in the box when I opened it. Nice shapes and there is even some dried corraline algae on it. Only thing is, I could only fit about 20# in my 29 gallon nano!. I can't recommend this rock enough for its looks and value.

I ordered 50 lbs. to finish aquascaping my 120 G system. First off, it looks great. BRS was very kind to include the size pieces I requested. Next, this stuff is super porous and lightweight, which means you get a lot more rock than you would expect from the weight. Since it is so porous, it's also very easy to shape and scape not to mention there's so much more area for beneficial bacteria growth. I'll never setup another system without it!

I really recommend this rock above other dry rock. Here's why, the rock has tremendous surface area! There are TONS of nooks and crannies throughout this rock. Its is so porous. Also this rock is very light. It is priced a bit higher than the Fiji rock but you get almost 3 times the same weight Fiji rock because of its weight. I bought 25# of LR from my lfs and then picked this up during a group buy with my forum and litterially I got almost 3X the amount of rock with this buy. I really recommend this to everyone.

I orderd 35lbs and asked for large and x-large display pieces. I got 2 HUGE BEAUTIFUL pieces. this rock is absolutly georgous!!! for the money what you get is totally fantastic!! there is some dried up dead matter on the rock but since i'm starting a new tank it's a non issue for me. with all the nooks and crannies there is all most no end to the places that livestock can inhabit. the pictures of this rock are absolutly NOT cherrie picked pieces!!!!! what you see is the real deal. personally I think the pieces they sent look even better than the ones in the pictures. if you are still up in the air on which rock to buy look no further. I absolutly will be buying more!!!

I just recieved my 50 lbs of Pukani Rock. It is amazing. I wasn't expecting this much either. It had 6 beautiful pieces and they are HUGE! The largest was 17" accross, 14" tall and 13" wide. I have used several different types of rocks from several other highly recommended vendors and this stuff is the bomb. Much better in my opinion than reef cleaner rock. Wow, this is amazing rock. I ordered 50 lbs for a 65 gallon RSM 250, and that was certainly plenty for the tank. I also requested some unique "show pieces," and it appears they selected a couple of pieces with that in mind. It was shipped and packaged well, with hardly any rubble.

I bought this rock for a biocube 29. First of all, since it is dry and pukani is very sparse, don't follow the traditional 1 lb per gallon rule. I would recommend 0.25 lb per gallon.

I found the instructional video on aquascaping very helpful. I applied all of the techniques demonstrated and ended up converting some already interesting rocks to pieces of art.

I haven't put it in the tank yet, but am looking forward to it.

So i ordered 60 lbs of this stough for my new 100 gallon and all i can say is it wont all fit. I couldnt beleive the amount of rock i had when i opened the box. I have like 50 lbs of LR in my nano.LOL Great value and the rocks are very nice to look at. Make sure u clean them and soak for a while. There is alot of die off on there.

I'm new to the saltwater scene and after all my research I discovered that this rock was among the best to get if you want to use Dry Rock for your setup. I was really confused at first with all the different ways a person can go to setup their tank, but the videos BRS supplies with BRSTV really cleared things up for me. I decided on a mix of this rock and the "Reef Saver" rock. Just a side note, I've heard from any different sources that it's good to cook the rock before you use it. (Cooking means to keep it in a closed container with a heater and a pump for roughly a month).
