Took it out of the packing, drilled a small hole in the side of my ro/di water holding tank, hooked up the line and that's it! Works exactly as described and quality is excellent. No leaks or anything. Will be buying another one!

I use these on ALL my RO top off and they have not failed me yet. I have read others had encountered some overflow because the float fails to seal to shut off, but I have never seen this and I have not even cleaned my floats. I have been running them for about three years now. These are the standard mechanical RO float valves.

I have 2 of these one for a RO/DI container, and the other runs to the tank for my ATO. They have been working flawlessly for months. They can even be mounted on a slight curved surface (55g drum) will a dab of silicone.

Okay, maybe I am moron.
I picked up one of these in my first BRS order with every intent of installing it in my 32 gallon Rubbermaid RO storage basin. After the first overflow, I thought - boy, if I put a float valve in, this wouldn't happen. But I didn't. Second time, I thought - I really should install that float valve. But I didn't. After the third time, I finally installed the valve. It did the trick! Presto - no more floods!
It was very easy to install and it (knock on wood) seems to be nearly failsafe, especially in an application with RO where there is no chance of salt/calcium build up or critters causing it to malfunction.
