These canisters are easy to use. They allow you to buy bulk media and fill them yourself, saving money and at the same time wasting less because you are not throwing away all that plastic from non-refillable canisters. If you're paying $35 for preloaded, non-refillable, color-changing canisters, these things pay for themselves in one use! My water comes out as pure as always, so there's just no reason you shouldn't be using these.
