I have been using these filters on my RO/DI unit for a few months now, and they work like a champ. I have well water with a fairly high TDS, and these filters don't slow down hardly at all once they start to become saturated. Very pleased with these and will continue to order them.

If you have a good sediment filter, then I prefer having this 1 Micron version carbon filter over the 5 Micron version. If your unit has two carbon units, then put this one right after the 5 Micron MatrikX. BTW, for a filter that works this well, getting from BRS is a no-brainer. And that's considering I actually import these things to the Philippines! The price here in BRS is simply great!

Since most RO/DI units already have a pre-filter (sediment filter), if the sediment filter is doing a good job, then I would recommend the 1 Micron version more. HOWEVER, if you have two carbon filters, then this works fantastically well in conjunction with the 1 Micron (i.e., Sediment -> 5 Micron Carbon -> 1 Micron Carbon -> RO -> DI).

I bought these for replacement purposes for the RO/DI I previously purchased from BRS. The pressure gauge on the RO/DI is really a great indicator of when to change your filters, when the pressure starts to drop, it's time to change.

This filter works great so far, combined with the great price, I call it a WINNER!
