I have two of these on one of my tanks and they are great. perfect coloring of my corals and doesnt emit to much heat. makes the coral colors pop out. and these bulbs are a decent price for what you get.

I replaced a couple of 14K "U" branded bulbs which I had been using for the past 8 months. Switched over several weeks ago. Several differences: 1. Of course, a much bluer tint which makes the colors pop. We prefer the color rendering. 2. Bulbs are longer than the previous brand, which for our hood/reflector doesn't really matter, but if you have confine spacing, might want to verify. 3. Surprisingly, these bulbs run cooler than the "U" brand. I haven't actually measured the temp differences, but when cleaning my tank I noticed the significant lower temp emitting from the bulbs. So, far I can't complain, but ultimately coral growth will be the determining factor of success.
