This replaced a ushio 20k 400 watt bulb, The ushio is not a bad bulb at all, but this has a lot more brightness to it, completely beautiful color to it. I wont need any other bulbs except this now.

Wow, this is supposed to be a 1000w bulb??? We were forced to replace our Helios 20k bulbs as they have been discontinued, but excited to find the Radium makes a 1000 bulb! That excitement was quickly extinguished once they fired up... These things are no where near as bright as the Helios we just replaced. Good color, but no where near the brightness I would expect from a 1000w bulb. :( Disappointed not only by the lack of light, but since they were twice the price of a Helios, it makes it sting even more.

Used this to replace another 250w bulb and it's night and day difference. The corals are all more colorful and growing much better the before. The blue tint is exactly what I was looking for.

At least when run on proper HQI ballasts, these give off about 270 watts of the most beautiful 20,000K light I've seen - can't beat it. On plain electronic or other magnetic ballasts these bulbs (150w DE or 250w SE) may be under-driven and give off a much more blue cast - too blue to most people's eyes.

I love the color of these bulbs. I have 4 over a 96" x 36" x 30" mixed reef. Love taht I don't have to spend extra $ on actinic supplement lighting. Some opinions may vary, as lighting & colors is very much pesonal preference. Great deal and easy transaction here at BRS.

Hands down the best bulb! You will get to see colors in your corals you did not know existed. These bulbs put out quite a bit of par also.

These bulbs are absolutely amazing! No more cheap 20k bulbs for me! I have a 6' 125 gallon mixed reef and I used to have to run 2 6' VHO Super actinics and 1 6' VHO 454 bulb along with my cheap 20k's to get nice coloration. With two Radiums I get beautiful color with no need to enhance with VHO's! Just the savings on electricity alone justifies the expense, and BRS has the best pricing I've found for these!

These bulbs have great blue color that really make greens, reds, and, blues pop. They are a little pricey but worth the cost. I will use these bulbs again.

I use 2 MH fixtures over 160 tank. These bulbs really make the colors on my corals pop compared to previous 140000 Ushio bulbs. I have now turn off my Atinic T5's when the MH are on and get great color. They start real blue but after burned that settles down.

These are by far the best bulb I have ever used, the growth I get is great and it has just the right amount of blue in it to make corals "pop" with no supplemental lighting. They fire every time on my lumatek dimmable ballasts.

I have been using this bulb now for 6 month. I am extremely happy with it all the colors from my corals pop like never before. I will never go back to a cheaper bulb again u get what you pay for.
