Much better than the frag disks. I've used them with great sucess so far and have actually used some of the larger pieces for some aquascaping. I'd recommend these. Haven't counted the pieces, but there was a fair amount for what I need.

Description stated that there were 80 mounts for the 1 gallon container... I counted 26. Onlly good thing is that these mounts blend in a lot better than regular frag plugs. I would recommend that you order the 10 lbs bag of dry live rock rubble instead of the 1 gallon size of this stuff - same price 5 times more rock.

Multiple uses. Blend in well for frags and work great when you just need that extra little pice in aqua scraping.

Great to work with very natural looking. Have even yawed them in the aqua scape to support other rocks.
Natural looking, so worth the purchase By Laura on 5/22/12

These are pricey, but it's easy to make the plug blend in with the live rock. This makes the product well worth it in my opinion.

My container had exactly 25 pieces in it iof varying sizes and shape. I have to stay they actually look they are real pieces of coral skeletons and not fabricated.

The only problem i have is the rocks are larger than I thought they would be.

These are as advertised. Pieces are similar to the picture. I do agree with one reviewer stating that it is cheaper to buy a larger rock and break it up. It does come with a container that could be useful for other things later on or for keeping more frag rocks for later. All pieces were useful for making frags. I was thinking some would be to small. If this was cheaper there would be no doubt in my mind that I would buy again.
nowhere near 80 pieces.. By stephnjeph on 2/22/12

I ordered what I thought was going to be a gallon, but was actually in a 2 quart container. There were 23 pieces or rock.

Dont get me wrong these are great, but i have discovered ordering the BRS rock rubble is essentially the same thing at 1/10 of the price. Just a heads up but i agree so much better than plugs!
Eh.... not good value, lots of empty space in container. By Peter on 11/29/11

I received this container, which had one large piece of rock, one medium sized (that both barely fit through the opening) and then about 8-10 of the smaller pieces that you would expect to mount frags. ALOT of empty space in the container. After breaking up the larger pieces into usable frag pieces, I probably got 2/3 full container, if that. While the rock is fine, at $14 this is probably the most expensive way to buy dry rock- just buy Eco-Rock and break it up- these frag mounts are simply that, and not a good value as packaged.

These frag mounts work great. Easy to move frags into tank and blend with what is already there. Don't think there is as many plugs as stated on line but still great product.
these look fantastic.. By stephane on 8/5/11

i hate the look of frag plugs aswell !!! i looked at these a long time before i ordered them and i only regret not buying two of them :) i already switched a few frags to these and have other pieces in my sump to get coroline on them...
they look amazing and the only reason i gave 4 stars on value is i wish i had more of them..
you won't regret using these..

These frag mounts are great. Not a bad deal for $15 either. I HATE frag plugs and discs. These look soo much better and more natural then an ugly plug or disc. These also sit better on the LR in your DT then the plugs do. I keep a bunch of these rocks in my sump ready to be used when it's time to frag a coral.
When I buy a frag on a plug or disc, I knock it off and glue it on one of these pieces. If it's encrusted really good, just chop off as much of the plug you can with a dremel or strong cutters and glue it to the rock with some CA Gel (superglue gel).
