we use this carbon as filter material in our custom made high class ceramic pet drinking fountains we sell all over the globe. We like it, then it's low on dust and keeps the water nice and clear for weeks.

i love it its cheap and there is soo much of it if i tried to buy a gallon of carbon at my aquarium store ( i live in souther california btw) it would cost at least 20 to 25 dollars. plus if bought the dual reactor and it is so much better running carbon through a reactor than through a bag. chemipure aint got nothing on my BRS dual reactor. maybe i will buy some chemi pure and run it through my reactor i saw it on a youtube video it seems legit.

I bought this because it would be cheaper then replacing with Fluval media. I really liked this, and I will definitely re-buy this. When I put it in a filter bag, it does need a bit of rinsing to get the dust out of every nook and cranny. Running this and GFO keeps my tank spotless, and parameters are great. Thanks BRS!

Some reviews said it was a bit dust and i gave to say i dont think its any more dusty than any other carbon. I think it is the best stuff for the price. Great pice and great product.

It's a bit dusty, but not nearly as bad as most carbon out there. It does it's job in keeping the water clear longer than most carbon on the market. Requires a good gallon to gallon and a half of RO/DI water to rinse out before using.

nice and cheap way to get a lot of carbon and not have to worry about it running out. We run 5 tanks and change carbon biweekly with water changes, and this is a far more economical way of buying carbon. No complaints with the product, and will be buying again, should we run out!

I finally found a place to get carbon at bulk. I run through carbon so fast that having a source like Bulkreefsupply is perfect. Works just like any standard carbon and it does the job. Very convienent to be able to by in bulk supply.

I have a 100 gallon heavily stocked SPS tank with heavy GFO and carbon use due to my tang population. The BRS bituminous carbon is by far the best cost saving choice and maintains my needs as well as any of the name brand labels. It seems to have lower dust then other aquarium carbons I've used. The carbon removes yellowing quickly and for and extensive period of use. For the same quantity as other brands BRS bituminous carbon seems to work better for me.

I use this and the DI resin and get 0 TDS for my filtered water!! My water from tap hits approx. 118 tds. With a max shift container fo this and the dual di resin filter I get 0 TDS for well over 300 gallons of filtered water.

That beats those API cartridges whichrange from 25-100 gallons for $30.

I use allot of carbon for my 4 tanks so buying in in the smaller containers that you can get at the LFS is just not economical. I had been looking for somewhere to purchase it in bulk when someone suggested BRS and I have been getting here ever since. Thanks again for making reefing a little bit more affordable!
