ROX raises the bar and leaves all other carbon in the dust. Until you use this product personally, you truly have no idea what carbon is capable of. I am absolutely amazed. With ROX, you can stop using other costly products like Purigen. Don't get me wrong, Purigen has it's uses but if you have been using it for yellow removal, Rox will take care of that!

This carbon allows the fish tank to be clear. There is no dust and it is a great product!!

Got rid of the yellow By David on 1/3/12

I recently did a water change before I started running this carbon and the water I took out of the tank was considerably more yellow than the freshly mixed water going into the tank. After running this carbon for a week I did a water change and there was hardly a difference in the old and new water. Really cleared the water up nice.

I had been using the usual Floss/Purigen/Chemipure combo in my nano for a year. Works okay but over time can get needlessly costly. So, finally pulled the trigger on the BRS ROX 0.8 carbon and their bulk GFO. Three tablespoons of each in a 200 micron bag. Replace the carbon every two weeks, GFO 4 weeks. No, I don't have a skimmer or reactor.
Must say the water clarity is astounding. I mean it appears there's no water in the tank.. Algae on glass is nearly non-existent and my cyano issue has shrunk. At the risk of this posting suspiciously sounding like ironic hyperbole, I'd say I'm a happy convert.

Finally got to running carbon in a Phosban reactor and this stuff rox. Very little needs to be used as stated in online description and I can definitely see the difference to the water clarity.

This stuff is great! It is 1st time I've been running GFO but this product is awesome. I have let things go for a while so had pretty high phosphates once I finally checked. Close to 0.5. Within 3 days of putting this stuff on line they are down to 0.09. Will see what happens in a week.

I didnt even rinse the carbon and it release no dust at all. Unlike other carbon my skimmer will skim out a ton of black stuff after i put it in the system this thing is so clean. Love it
