I replaced glass tops with frames built using this stuff. Works great. It's pretty strong too. Lets a lot more light through then a white egg crate would.

This is a great solution for keeping your fish in the tank. I had a clown fish jump out of my tank after 12 years and I wish I had put netting over the tank sooner. There is zero noticeable light degradation that I can tell. I plan to use this on all of my tanks indefinitely.

Works great for making a screen to keep your fish from carpet surfing. Saw the video on how to make a screen top and immediately ordered this product. Was simple to setup in my screen frame and has worked great. Have not had a single carpet surfer since I set this up, though my Blue Spot Jawfish has tried. Also used some to make a Nori "feeder" for my Tangs like BRS showed. Works great.

I wish I would have had this idea years ago when I was losing fish to my carpet. I found the how-to video online and saw how easy it was to DIY this. It took me 30 minutes and I haven't had any issues since. The best part is it still lets the light from my LEDs in without any distortion at all. If you look up through the water you don't even know it's there. Plus, it looks pretty cool from above as well. I would recommend it highly.

I bought the clear version for my 180G and couldn't be happier. If you are still using eggcrate; don't. Get this and you'll be amazed how much more light your corals will get. If you have nothing covering your tank then you are crazy! Get this and build your custom frames in no time. Extremely easy and final result is excellent. I just have no clue how one would incorporate the frame with rimless tanks, but reefkeepers are good with coming up with solutions, so no worries there I guess.

This netting is awesome! They don't sell this at my local hardware store. I made 5 screen tops and had plenty left over for misc projects. I have found many uses for this netting in an aquarium setting.

This tip is fantastic. I got rid of my old salt incrusted glass top for this low profile screen top in which my Tek light can penetrate deeply into my tank to increase the growth of my coral. Thanks BRS for the great tip!

I purchased this product with the intensions of making two tops for my main display tank. I liked the product so much I have also made tops for my refugium and frag tanks. The netting allows for great light penetration while keeping the tank inhabitants in. I used this with window screen supplies from my local hardware store. Makes for a finished and professional looking installation.

I love this screen netting! I used egg crate till I saw the video on how to make your own screen cover. Very durable material as well- my curious cats have jumped on top of the cover with no issues. Will be purchasing again for my new tank.

The material is a bit clearer than the picture shows. It's strong, and it was easy to stretch it over the screen. The 1/2" size seems good; I don't see how any fish could jump through.

I bought a roll of this screen to keep my fishes and big roaches out of my tank. It's easy to make a frame and this 1/4" screen is worth the buck. I recommend it to anyone with an aquairum that doesn't want just a plastic lid over their tank that reduces lighting.

The mesh spacing was not 1/2" on the entire sheet, kind of like a run in the plastic. I had to cut around those imperfect parts. But overall strong and durable.
