I used these mesh socks to rinse media before use in a reactor. They have large enough holes to rinse any "fines" away from your carbon or GFO. Can also use to run carbon in a large tank for short periods of time.

The draw string makes it easy to adapt to anything really...Just make sure you clean this regularly. It catches alot of stuff but clogs fast which can cause overflows.
