I bought these socks earlier this year to go in my sump for my new build because I saw them at this amazing price. My lfs and many local places wanted upwards of $20 for similar socks. I have no regrets about buying these socks from BRS. These things do exactly what they're supposed to and at a fantastic price. Very pleased to say the least.

You simply can't beat this sock. I agree, $20 at the LFS is crazy compared to these socks.

this is the cheapest PRICED filter sock out there. Judging by it's quality you would never have an idea. Don't bother going to fish store and paying almost $20 a sock with you can get these for a third of the price. They have never ripped around the ring or affected my skimmer performance negatively.

I have 5 of these filters that I rotate in and out of my system. They are durable enough to get multiple uses out of them if you wash them. I turn them inside as soon as I remove them from my system (it's easier when they are still wet!). Once I have collected several of them, I use my washing machine to wash them. Just run a short, EMPTY cycle of the washer WITHOUT detergent or anything BEFORE you actually wash the filters. This will help insure there are no leftover detergents in the washer from a previous load of clothes, etc., then run a cycle WITHOUT detergent to wash the filters, and use a 2nd rinse if you have that option on your washer. When they are done, turn them rightside out while they are still wet and allow them to air dry. They will still wear out eventually, but you get several more uses out of them.

I needed some new filter socks so I came on BRS and bought these. After using them and paying the price I paid for them I will never go back. This product is well made and never made my skimmer go crazy like others I have bought in the past. It seems to stop everything going into it.

I have used these filter socks in a few of my tanks on and off. They work great to catch particles floating in the water but can also cause problems if you do not clean them regularly. In my case that means every week or 2.

I am liking these 200 micron much better than my old 100 micron socks, do not plug up as quick.
