I actually cut these with a scissors and fit them into a biocube. I run them through the wash when they get dirty. you would not believe the junk it pulls out of the water

Fits well in my sump. Filters very tiny particles out of the water. Clogs more quickly than the mesh socks. Can be cleaned by turning inside out and spraing with garden hose a few times before replacing. Mine are lasting about three weeks (cleaning weekly) before I have to replace them.

Bought eight for swapping out on my Aqueon 4 Sump. The work well. They do not snap into the sump as well as the original aqueon socks, but at a savings of about $3 per sock I am happy.

Stiff plastic ring and two inner grab handles. These are the stiffer more "s.o.s." pad material filter. Its great to have these on hand, so i can always keep some socks in, as opposed to washing and waiting, leaving my mechanical filter out... I might even buy more!! Great value!

These are pretty good products. Reliable and durable. Just be sure to buy at least five minimum. as they will need to be swapped out every couple of days

works like its supposed to. i would recommend having atleast four of these so you can change them out every two to three days. cleans up well with a litle bleach.

This sock is still going strong after 6 months of rotated use. I rotate 3 socks about every 2 weeks and wash them in the Washing machine. they are all still performing their job and staying in 1 piece.

The filter sock is a form of mechanicle filtration. It polishes the water. Felt socks are going to catch more than the nylons and have to be replaced more often but the really polish the water. The plastic ring is helpful if u have a holder or u clam it to the side of your tank. Overall great product for the money.
