foam pads fit perfect. if looking to overhaul your reactor, these foam pads and seal ring work great.

Good-bye Phosphates By Lew on 8/7/12
Lew would recommend this product to a friend
This little devise is fantastic. Hang on the back of your sump, fill with BRS GFO, install a small pump and phosphates are no longer an issue. It's way too simple not to buy this unit and reduce your stress level of losing high priced fish.

I must say that I love the compact size compared to some other reactors. I love the fact that I can hang this on my sump.

Very compact, easy to set up. Not as user/cost friendly as the BRS reactor units, but more attractive and more space efficient!

Well what can I say about replacement pads but I can say that they are a nice snug fit in the reactor and feel very well constructed.

Great for the money By Adam on 6/8/12

Looking at similar items you can pay over twice as much for the same product. Recently added this to my anemone tank with some BRS high capacity GFO to help get rid of nuisance algae and some cyano, it's working wonders.

It is ok could be better By Jason on 3/25/12

This is a simple design and a great beginner reactor. I would recommend it for someone getting in to the hobby have ran GFO and bio-pellets thru it. The pads that come with it get clogged up quickly and you don't see this in other brands designs. Other than that it is a good reactor.

Best bang for buck! By Eric on 3/24/12

I own 3 of these and love them. They're simple and very economical. I really like how they are small and can hang on the side of a sump and that they are not the size of a football. I mod'd one for biopelets by replacing the foam with mesh and couldn't be happier.

this reactor works well with carbon for me but not as well with phosban type midia for some reason.kind of a pain to fill with the tube in the center, just tape it up.still, you cant beat it for the price but i perfer the BRS reactors over it ant day

I purchased this unit and added some of the Bulk Reef Supply GFO I was very please with the units construction and ended up buying another one for my carbon. I have not had any issues with the elbows as others have...if you do I'm sure a quick zip tie would solve the problem.

Just completed setting up the 150 with the 1200 pump. All I needed was a couple elbows and a couple feet of hose. Fits very well in the return section of my sump.

Very easy to set up. Had a maxijet 600 sitting
Around that i used as a pump. Probibly a
Little over powered, but throttled down o.k.
I've given performance a rating of 4 because
Its only been running three days and not
Sure how much phosphates have been
Lowered. I am using two inches of phosban.
Tested phosphates today and seems to have
Gone down slightly which is a good sign.

I own 3 of the TLF 150 Phosban reactors and would be no more happy for the money. You can use this reactor for GFO, Carbon or Bio-Pellets.

Good value, works well. Make sure to zip tie connections and clean the pads when its time to refill. They are also easy to plumb more than one in line.

Easy to use and does the job By Anthony on 11/1/11
Anthony would recommend this product to a friend
I am happy with this purchase. I have 2 of these for carbon and GFO. I probably could have got the smaller size for my 200 gallon system but am happy with the performance. They install nicely hanging on my sump and I have them running off of maxi jet 900's which is plenty for my installation. They are easy to take apart and clean, just make sure when re filling to line up the center tube and put a piece of tape over the top opening so the media does not fall in and you are good to go.

Legit By Nick on 10/6/11
Nick would recommend this product to a friend
The TLF reactor does it's job and is decently priced, however I probably would not buy another one. The 90 degree fittings are a hastle so i just zip tied bot ends. kind of annoying but does the trick. My honest opinion is to go with the BRS reactor.

Nice small footprint By Emil on 9/6/11
Emil would recommend this product to a friend
The only reason I bought this over the BRS is that I was looking for the absolute smallest footprint possible...and it didn't disappoint in that respect. Easy to use and plumb, but like everyone else says, beware of the 90 degree rubber tubes. I have it tee'd off my return with a ball-valve). Overall good value and again, small and slim profile/footprint.

this is a good cheap reactor. its not perfect I wouldn't trust the 90' elbows it comes with. but for the price it works just fine without them.

Excellent Reactor By Tom on 6/29/11
Tom would recommend this product to a friend
I purchased this reactor when the BRS one was out of stock. So far I've been very happy with it. Install is easy and works as intended. Mounting is simple, I choose to hang it off of my sump. I’m using the Maxi Jet 400 pump and have found this to be more than enough. I did start off with a Maxi Jet 900, but found that this was way over powered. Basically, I had to close the valve so much it resulted in a noisy pump.

Easy way to use with GFO or carbon By Ryan on 3/13/11
Ryan would recommend this product to a friend
This works realy well and its easy to adjust the flow rate do to the big ball valv and clear easy to view chamber makes maintenance easy. This will also hold both carbon and GFO at the same time if your tank is small enough to fit the recomended dose of each in side. I only wish it came with a pump like the BRS reactors do..

this is a good first reactor. the rubber elbows are less than to be desired but over all it works well and gives you a good understanding of how a reactor works for your future upgrade(man this hobby is addicting)

Average By Evan on 1/15/11
Evan wouldn't recommend this product to a friend
It gets the job done but after using this I switched to the BRS single reactor and I'm much happier. Compared to the BRS reactor the TFL is harder to work with. Also, the exit nipple broke off the TLF150 when trying to take the top off (making it useless). I wish I had bought the BRS single reactor to begin with, they're similarly priced as well.

Solid Reator By Mehmet on 1/6/11

This is an easy to use reactor that does its job well, however the 90’ elbows seem to slip off easily and can leak out.
I would recommend this reactor with a warning about the elbows.

Good Media reactor, one minor flaw By Eugene on 6/22/10
Eugene would recommend this product to a friend
This is a solid media reactor and it certainly has that reputation. I use it for the GFO sold here by bulk reef. The construction is excellent. It comes with everything you need but tubing and a pump which would be expected. It has a good valve that is easily titratable for flow. The only minor issue I have is the rubber 90 tubing that controls the in and out flow. It can wear over time and if you move the reactor the rubber can come loose a bit and leak some water. I just have to be careful when adjusting things in the sump to not move the PVC too much. The rubber does not come off easily though. Overall a minor flaw for a well priced product.
