Although it is a bit expensive, this check valve works well and is easy to clean. You cannot rely exclusively on a check valve to prevent back flow into your sump - still use a siphon break as well for safety. What this check valve does prevent is the displacement of air from the return piping back into the tank when ever the return pump is turned off and on.

When looking at check valves, I found this one to be what I was looking for. To perform its function, durability and ease of use/cleaning. It meets my needs and expectations and I am impressed! Although the price is definitely hefty, other check valves can't hold a candle to this one! After checking several other specialty websites for this check valve, BRS was the cheapest I found! I really don't think you will be disappointed in this even with the hefty price! BRS has again offered an outstanding product at a very good price! Thanks guys!!

Really like the fact you can clean up any build up that make occur over time..
Would definitely be buying more!
