May seem a little expensive, but factor in the union you won't need and the ability to adjust the seal so you can extend the life of the valve and they are a bargain.

I love these true union ball valves. It's really the best of both flow control and flexibility to reconfigure or clean your connections. The only recommendation that I have is to pay special attention to the arrows for flow direction. Otherwise you are going to run into a situation where you can't take everything apart without making a mess.

I got the two inch ball valve to connect by sump to by return pump. It is very nice. Solidly built with smooth action. Looks well engineered to allow for maintenance.

first one was a 3/4", now one of my 1.5". both times it was on the input side of the true union ball valve. the adjustable flange part is somewhat chipped when new. so keep an eye out on them.

for their price, i'd hope BRS would stand behind them but oh well.

Great valve opens easy even after use. Spend a little extra now and have piece of mind knowing it will last and still operate easily later down the road when you need it to. A bit high in price but you get what you pay for.

These are beyond sturdy. The double union makes it easy to take any piece apart on either side of the ball valve. Keep in mind that this is a pretty large piece.

I've tried many SCH-40 ball-valves from hardware stores but found they would always fail after a few years so I decided to pay a little more and go SCH-80. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the valve. I haven't had it for long so I'm not sure how long it will last but I can tell it's better than the SCH-40 valves I've used in the past. My only complaint is that the valve handle wasn't parallel with the body while open. I just have to keep that in mind while checking to see if it's open. I'm sure it was just assembled wrong or I'm being picky.

This valve is not like those sold at the local big-box store. It is much heavier and more beefy. I'm having to add some additional supports to handle the extra weight. The valve action is very smooth, and the dual sets of couplings provides extra flexibility during installation.

I was shocked when I took this value out of the box. It's built like a freaking main battle tank. The union o-rings are fat, the valve handle is huge and easy to turn, and the fact it includes both slip and threaded end is nice. I would have liked the option to NOT have both types of fitting and save some money though.

I'm putting one of these on either side of my return pump. I'm sure it'll be easy as pie to remove my pump for service with these valves in place.

Awsome valve. I can't find anything close to this quality at my Local Hardware Store. Expensive but I can be sure it’s done right and I won’t have to replace this valve anytime soon. Comes with both SLIP and threaded connections.

These valus are not cheap, but their construction and performance is well worth the extra dollars. The valves turn effortlessly and the unions are simple to break down. There is simply no comparing these valves to the ones sold at the big-box retail stores. While those valves are a few dollars cheaper, in this case, the saying "you get what you pay for," rings true.

I was concerned that I was overspending, when I decided to upgrade my system's valves. I was wrong. These are the best things I've ever purchased. They are so reliable, well built, and efficient, that I can't imagine my system today without them. They make everything look so good and professional, and they allow fine tune adjustments with ease. I would recommend these 100x over. In fact, I feel like I should buy more just to have some handy (they were backordered when I placed my order). I would 100% recommend this purchase to anyone considering upgrading their valve system.

It is what it is just a ball valve. This valve is economical compared to other schedule 80 valves. Unlike other valvles the handle closes and opens easy on this one. Also comes with slip or threaded fittings which is a plus.

After breaking my second valve (PVC); I just had to find a better alternative. After google searching and viewing the results, I thought I'd be a fool not checking with BulkReefSupply; which led me to this valve.

At first I was questioning the valve's price; could this valve really be better than the alternative valves I was just looking at (google results)? I wondered that because BRS valve was $12 cheaper!

After reviewing this differences, it was obvious which valve I would be buying. A day later, this valve was in my hands; I was impressed!

You know when your valve stops working because it gets stuck on the salt crete - I ASSUME this valve solves that problem, because of the built in union!

All I can say:
"I should have ordered this valve along time ago!"

As stated above this is a little more costly then your average union valve that you could get at Lowes, However upon reciept i was vary pleased. It is vary helpful that it comes with both slip and thread connection can be used slip to slip slip to thread or thread to thread. It also comes with a key which allows you to remove and clean the seals!

When shopping for ball values I was tempted to buy the cheaper models on sold on various sites. I am glad I did not give in to the temptation to save a few bucks on inferior ball values and purchased the Cepex values. These ball values are amazing. The value turns effortlessly and unions breakdown in a snap. They also look professional and add an air of professionalism to your plumbing. I have spent several hundreds of dollars on my tank;s pluming and these values are the best purchase I have made.

Very high quality ball valve. The price is pretty high (or at least I thought so) but you have to consider the following...you get both slip and threaded connections, you get the ball valve, and it also doubles as a union. I will not hesitate to purchase again.
