Works fine! By Chad on 8/24/11

These clamps fit perfect on 1/2" tubing. Perhaps the previous review was trying to fit the clamps on 1/2" outer diameter tubing? In any case these fit snugly and leak free on standard 1/2" I.D. tubing.

Depends on diameter of barb By Perry on 7/2/11

Depends on the diameter of the hose when on certain barbs, like metric, it can be hard to get to snap. I wish they would carry smaller sizes, 1/4, 3/16, 3/8 etc. Beats the heck out of tie wraps and hose clamps.

Great Product By Daniel on 6/10/11

I purchased a 3/4" tube clamps from another company and they would not fit. They fit over the tube but would not fit over where i needed them to clamp down, so i ordered them from Bulk Reef Supply and they worked perfect. They work great over the connection where it is a little wider than the 3/4". Thanks Bulk Reef Supply for giving us great products at a great price.

Did not work with TLF150 By Gary on 5/19/11
Gary wouldn't recommend this product to a friend
I bought a few of these to clamp down the 1/2" hose on my TLF150 reactor. However even when closed all the way, these 1/2" clamps were too big! The vinyl hose I'm using has pretty thick walls too.

It's Awesome By ANTONIO on 5/19/11

I used to use metal hose clamps and man! the rust is bad news. The clamps are strong and have a strong grip. its the only way to go.

Best kind of clamp for saltwater! By ak_casper_82@hotmail.com on 1/28/11

This definitely the best clamp for a saltwater tank. Easy to use and won't rust. To get the clamp as tight as possible cinch the last little bit with a pair of channel lock pliers. If you ever need to take it off then use a pair of needle nose and a flat head to push the teeth apart vertically and it will release. I use them on pressurized and non-pressurized lines with no problems.

Good alternative to worm drive clamps By Ray on 3/1/10
Ray would recommend this product to a friend
Anyone who has tried to save a buck using hardware store metal worm drive clamps or worse, zip ties to hold their hoses in place know these are both imperfect solutions. The worm drive clamps begin to rust within a week of installation making them almost imposable to remove. Using zip ties can create a pinch/kink in the hose at the barb end causing leaks and are by nature not reusable. These ratchet clamps are both reusable and provide even pressure around the full circumference of the barb. I now use ratchet clamps exclusively for all of my hose plumbing and have not had a leak yet.
