These work for now, but I ordered both 1 and 3/4 inch sizes for my sump, they are holding water with no leaks, but long term I may need to find another style

seems like they should work well By Brad on 1/23/13
Brad would recommend this product to a friend
I dont have water in the system yet, but they should work well. The only problem is, is that you need the next size up for whatever hose your using. Either that or BRS sent me the wrong ones. I have a 1" drain and a 3/4" return. So I ordered the 1" and 3/4" braided nylon tubing as well as the 1" and 3/4" clamps. I had to use the supposed 1" clamp for the 3/4" tubing. Im going to contact BRS tomorrow about this as they might already be closed. But i definitely recommend on buying a variety of sizes to be sure you have the right ones. But these should work just fine and not cause leaks like vanisher says he had a problem with. If you cant get them quite tight enough by hand just use some pliers to get a few more clicks on it. Dont squeeze too hard or yes you can break them as they are just plastic. But theres no reason they can make a good seal, or your have pressure thats more than what you should even be having in the lines.

Not that great By vanisher on 9/14/12
vanisher wouldn't recommend this product to a friend
I love BRS, and their recommendations are 99.999% spot on, but these I have to disagree with.
Yes, I agree plastic (pvc, abs, bla bla) is better than metal for reefing.
However, these couldn't get a tight clamp for the life of them.
I used the screw tighten metal ones, and guess what, the leaks stopped.
I guess I'll be replacing the metal ones every now and then. For now I get to return these.

These are highly suggested when used around salt water. I couldn't find these locally either.

I couldn't find this product anywhere local to me. They're great clamps when you need to use them in close proximity to saltwater.

Will not fit "two little fishes" ball valve. By David on 7/29/12
David wouldn't recommend this product to a friend
I purchased these to make a more secure union between my 1/2 inch tubing and the various valves and fittings I would be using. I chose the "two little fishes" brand for my valves. The 1/2" tubing I purchased fit perfect onto the valve, however the 1/2" da her will not close enough to tighten the tubing to the valve, even though it is tightened to the max. It just spins round and round very loose on the tubing. Just to let you know.

Works Perfectly By Arteom on 2/18/12
Arteom would recommend this product to a friend
Just what I needed. Perfectly safe for a reef tank, no need to worry about rusting metal, and at around a buck a piece (As of 2/2012) its a no brainier! Simply snaps together, and slides apart just as easy! Remember this works on 13/16" - 3/4" OUTER Diameter tubing.
I suggest ordering a few more than you need & in various sizes, you'll find a use for them, trust me!

Yet one more of the many unique items you just can't find at the big box store that is absolutely necessary for reefing.

Plastic > Metal By Dustin on 2/13/12

Plastic is the way to go around saltwater. Not only are these clips sturdy I also don't have to worry about the idea of rust getting in my system. I also don't have to worry about the headache involved in taking it back off!

summary says it all. this is a very good product. I would highly suggest it to any one looking for a hose clamp. easy to install and you even can remove it! don't even think about using metal hose clamps as they rust even out of the water line grab a few of these guys. the price is right too!

Works fine! By Chad on 8/24/11

These clamps fit perfect on 1/2" tubing. Perhaps the previous review was trying to fit the clamps on 1/2" outer diameter tubing? In any case these fit snugly and leak free on standard 1/2" I.D. tubing.

Depends on diameter of barb By Perry on 7/2/11
Perry would recommend this product to a friend
Depends on the diameter of the hose when on certain barbs, like metric, it can be hard to get to snap. I wish they would carry smaller sizes, 1/4, 3/16, 3/8 etc. Beats the heck out of tie wraps and hose clamps.

Great Product By Daniel on 6/10/11

I purchased a 3/4" tube clamps from another company and they would not fit. They fit over the tube but would not fit over where i needed them to clamp down, so i ordered them from Bulk Reef Supply and they worked perfect. They work great over the connection where it is a little wider than the 3/4". Thanks Bulk Reef Supply for giving us great products at a great price.

Did not work with TLF150 By Gary on 5/19/11

I bought a few of these to clamp down the 1/2" hose on my TLF150 reactor. However even when closed all the way, these 1/2" clamps were too big! The vinyl hose I'm using has pretty thick walls too.

Best kind of clamp for saltwater! By ak_casper_82@hotmail.com on 1/28/11
ak_casper_82@hotmail.com would recommend this product to a friend
This definitely the best clamp for a saltwater tank. Easy to use and won't rust. To get the clamp as tight as possible cinch the last little bit with a pair of channel lock pliers. If you ever need to take it off then use a pair of needle nose and a flat head to push the teeth apart vertically and it will release. I use them on pressurized and non-pressurized lines with no problems.

Good alternative to worm drive clamps By Ray on 3/1/10
Ray would recommend this product to a friend
Anyone who has tried to save a buck using hardware store metal worm drive clamps or worse, zip ties to hold their hoses in place know these are both imperfect solutions. The worm drive clamps begin to rust within a week of installation making them almost imposable to remove. Using zip ties can create a pinch/kink in the hose at the barb end causing leaks and are by nature not reusable. These ratchet clamps are both reusable and provide even pressure around the full circumference of the barb. I now use ratchet clamps exclusively for all of my hose plumbing and have not had a leak yet.
