I haven't drille glass before and was very nervous, I started very slow on a practice piece of glass, it went well i then drilled my display 1/2 glass three times and now I had the hang of it. I drilled four more holes no problem and I let a friend use it, he drilled over 20 more holes and it still works. I am very impressed and bulk reef is the first place i check when I need anything.

1st time drilling glass and couldn't have worked smoother. Followed the BRS video and set the tank to drill horizontally and built a little dam to hold water around the bit. I went without a guide tilting the drill about 20 degrees to get it started and slowly squaring it up. Took less than a minute to go through a 1/4" wall.

Worth the money By Brandon on 4/9/13

This is the first tank I have drilled and I was very worried about it but these bits are very high quality and made it very easy. After I drill the first hole now I don't worry about it anymore. Thanks BRS also for the great video's to go along with it. The Drill press stand helps a lot also. Just be careful hard to tell how hard you are really pushing on it when you get the springs compressed down a ways.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to drill glass. I made (4) 48mm holes in my 40 gallon breeder. They were all at the same height on the back glass of the tank. I don't think I could have kept the bit steady without making a wood jig. It took me about 20 minutes of drilling per hole.

Little on the cheap side of bits, quality wise. Great buy for the money, and preformed as advertised drilled 8 holes before the bit started to show wear. BRS site was a little confusing in determining what size to buy for the 3/4" Schedule 80 Bulkhead Slip X Thread Dimensions, which state to use the 45mm, but the bit page stated to use the the 42mm. Glad I went with the 42 its a perfect fit. One key advice. take it slow and keep it wet and cool while drilling .

Quality Bit, Chewing Through 0.25 Inch Glass By Greg J on 3/5/13
Greg J would recommend this product to a friend
I ordered two of the 45 mm bits with a total of 5 holes to drill, i figured "better safe than sorry", i'm happy to report that with a slow drill speed and constant water flow, these bits will last, even in thick glass. These may be a dollar or two more than other places, but it's so convenient to get the bulkheads and the hole saws in the same box with one shipping charge.
Will buy again.
