Very beefy bulkheads. Nice thick gasket. Nice to have when it keeps the water in you tank.

These bulkheads are the best of the best, just note that the threads are tapered i found out the hard way and put the fittings on so tight i can't get them back off. I would use some teflon paste or tape if I could get them off just for peace of mind but i don't think it is detrimental.

worth the money By michelle on 2/28/12

i am so glad i spent the extra money on these. they work perfectly and seem exceptionally durable. I did have to make the hole in my sump bigger to get it to fit, but 10 minutes with a dremel and i was good to go.

No leaks so far and alot beefier than your standard ABS bulkheads, no problems when it comes to cranking down on them if needed

Beast is right! By Dustin on 2/13/12

I bought SCH 80 bulkheads so I could have confidence that a bulkhead would not crack over the life of my current build (800 gallon system hoping to last years). When the end goal in mind and preventing floods, it was without question I bought these.
At the time of the purchase I did not realize how much better of a bulkhead it was but I'm happy to report I'll never purchase a cheap SCH 40 again. Only complaint is the size of hole needed but I took that into account when building.

beast of a bulkhead By Craig on 8/19/11

I ordered this for connecting my Reeflo Snapper return pump to my sump. It's intake is 2" and I didn't want to neck it down and possibly cause it to cavitate. I got it today and it's massive! I don't think it's going to go ANYWHERE once it's plumbed in. The o-ring is very thick as well. I don't think it will mash out like the ABS ones sometimes do.

Leak proof By Steve on 1/5/11

I bought these to replace the leaky ones that came with my 300gl tank. These are much easier to turn and for a solid seal with very little effort.

I bought this bulkhead because I could not get the ones that came with my tank to seal. This was so easy to install. the threads do not bind up and formed a solid seal on my 300 lg tank.

Much better than ABS By Mark on 12/10/10

These SCH 80 Bulkheads are so much better than the black ABS plastic ones. On the ABS ones when you tighten them enough to stop leaks the seals squeeze out, these do not do that. On the ABS ones you have to clamp your pliers onto the threads to hold the main part from slipping, these have the hex facets to grab. The one bad thing is you really need to measure the diameter of your hole accurately, these are a little bit larger than the ABS ones and these may not fit the hole size. If you have a choice get get SCH 80 on every bulkhead.
