great buy. shipped fast. got here in wisconsin in 2 days. this unit breaks the unwritten code of saltwater though. it actually comes with instructions! only down side is the 4 to 1 waste water ratio. very minor. just wasnt expecting that. i get 70 psi from tap so it is chugging out clean water no prob. almost no assembly needed. comes ready to go. tds meter is great. water going in is 3 tds. water out is 0 tds. unit is sturdy. kinda heavy (good). and the see thru canisters are pimpin. this be good bling for ur shizzle.

75 gpd rodi system By Jimbo305 on 2/10/13

Unit arrived very quick, ordered Monday here in FL Thurs.
Arrived packed very well, and was basically plug and play with the faucet attachment. I get 5 gal in about 90 mins! If you are considering it go for it! I suggest getting the John Guest 3/8 3/8 1/4 adapter valve so it can fit nicely under a kitchen or bathroom sink. This an awesome product, works flawlessly and in a PnP rodi system!

All you need By Edward on 1/28/13

This is my second RODI system - the first one I purchased from another vendor. It was a fancier 5 stage system. Both of them produce 0 TDS water. However, do NOT go lower than this system. The flush valve is very important to RO membrane lifespan and the TDS meter is also great to have.
For all first time RODI buyers, there is a good chance that your water supply will not produce enough pressure to make the system effective. If you live in an apartment building, there is a 90+% chance that this will be the case. For that reason, I'd highly recommend purchasing a booster pump.
All in all, an exceptionally high quality unit.

MAKIN SOME WATER By Christopher on 1/26/13

Great value. Everything comes assembled and ready to use.
Hooked up, turned on the water and got sprayed in the face. Disassembled the unit and one of the fittings was cracked in half. BRS closed all weekend, so I replaced myself.
Build quality seems great otherwise.

Just getting started in the saltwater game, and every piece of advice I've had from seasoned reefers starts with "Get a RO/DI unit" and right after that is "and get it from BRS!"
Fast shipping! Easy to hook up and superb support if you actually need it.

Great filter works easily and quickly By wintercast on 1/21/13

I had been paying for water at my LFS, but realized there water was not clean and caused some issues in my tank. So i was actually using tap water for a few months till i found a RO/DI unit i liked. I was really happy a friend recomended bulk reef.
The box arrived quickly and was packed well. The unit is heavy. it can be moved easily, but it is heavy and i can see the benefit of mounting it under a sink or next to a utility tub.
I conntected the filter to my utility tub in the basement. The tub spigot has a garden hose type connection. I turned the unit on and let it run for an hour to clean ot the filters. i came back to find a puddle of water on the floor. however this was NOT the fault of the filter. I dont often run the sink too much, and basically the faucet is old and unknown to me it was leaking. So i think between leaving it on for an extended amount of time, plus the backpressure associated with getting the water into the filter caused a leak with the utlity sink. Again, this was not the filter's fault. I only mention it to alert people to be sure to use a faucet that is in good working order.
I dont have any other indoor locations to attatch the filter, so i attached it to my outside hose bib. The weather was above freezing. I had the blue line placed into a bucket, with the black (waste) line going out into the yard. At first, i would say the filter was making about 1.5 gallons an hour, the pressure was reading around 60 (if i remember correctly).
The filter does have a built in tester, but i found it to be a little bugging in reading the incoming water. I have a pocket sized tester and my tap water is generally around 140ppm-160pp. The filtered water was coming out at 0ppm. YAY.
After having used the filter a few times, it is filtering quicker. I get about 2-3 gallons an hour. I think some of thie matters if there are other water demands on the house (like the dishwasher or washing machine).
The filter is very easy to use. It only took me a few moments to get it running. The instructions it came with are nice and i know if i had issues i could contact bulk reef.
I recomend this filter and i am very happy with it.
BTW, i have tasted the water out of the filter. It basically just has no taste, or at least tastes super clean. It it is also hard to describe the smell. There is basically no smell, but i still feel like i smell something, i think it is just a smell like clean.
I only have a 29 gallon tank with a mixture of very friendly fish and zoas and a hairy mushroom. I am working on switching out tank water with the new RO/DI salt water. I cannot say i have seen differences yet with my critters, but i can say my zoanthids look a little more open.
