Much better than what I had By ReefCarl on 3/30/2014

Prior to purchasing the BRS reactor, I was using a "Two Little Fishies" unit that worked OK. It was a bit oversized for my aquarium and was taking up too much space in my cabinet, so I wanted something more compact.
The BRS unit is very well constructed and high quality all around. It was easy to assemble and start. I have not had to change the media yet, but it looks like it will be much easier to do than the TLF unit that I have replaced.

The construction is of the best which is why I purchased this item. As soon as I hook everything up it should drop my phosphates down without any issues. The pump they recommended works like a charm and is also pretty quite.

After watching the episodes on BRS tv about reactors I chose to get two of these. One of for GFO and the other for carbon. I've been running these for about a year now with no problem. The paired MJ pumps are reliable and the reactors them selves are solid and of very good build quality. They are easy to work with when changing out the media. Great product!!!!

Love the BRS media reactor! Works great for mixing carbon and GFO to keep my tank clean. And for the price, you just cant go wrong.

I haven't seen quality like this in a long time! Very well made and sturdy to boot. Easy to assembles and maintain. Using GFO only right now to start due to algae problem/phosphates-no problem now! Gonna try carbon/GFO mix just for trials sake. Definitely a must have!

This piece of equipment is very strong and solid. Easy to use and comes with almost everything. I would have to suggest to add the connector to use on another pump. It was a PITA finding the correct connector to fit both the piping and my pump. For the price of this unit, an additional connector should be included. I do like the reactor, and best of all it can be adapted to current equipment without having to supply electricity to another piece of equipment.

Works amazingly and is extremely well built. The price does not reflect the build quality as I would pay twice as much for the same unit
Solid, great initial opinion By SteadyC on 1/13/2014

I just installed this 3 days ago on my main tank, I am running both GFO and carbon mix, as described in their video. I am really happy to consolidate two reactors into a single one. This thing is solid, and my initial opinion from just deploying it is very positive. The included hoses are solid, don't flex at all really so you have to work with them and you need to wiggle and push while you insert into the push connectors to make sure you get them in all the way. I was pushing quite hard, wasn't going in any further, then I wiggled a little bit and the hose went in a bunch further. The sizes seem to be 1/2 inch outer diameter, as compared to hoses you buy at a hardware store that are 1/2 inner diameter, 5/8 inch outer diameter. Bottom line is, they might not match up to plumbing you have, if you are hoping to tee off of plumbing you already have, which I did. Had to make some adjustments to get this plumbed.
