This is the best reactor you can get for running GFO and/or Carbon. Simple to set up, bulletproof quality and a great price. This is also easy to mount below the tank in the sump. I use this to run GFO and I've never had a leak or issue.

I bought 2 of these and ran them together for carbon and GFO: the housings are thick and high quality, and hold more than the Phosban reactor, with less hassle to open and replace media.

First let me say why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. This unit is fantastic, but I wish there was the option to hang it on the edge of my sump/tank instead of having to mount it. Even if this was something that cost extra and clicks into the existing mount piece, it would be worth it to me. That said, this unit is great. Just make sure you push the tubes all the way in. It really kind of has two stops when pushing in the tube. The first time I did it, I didn't seat it in all the way (my mistake). The unit is easy to use and looks really nice. I got the pump with it, which sounded like overkill, but is really perfect IMO.

These are not cheap thin item, as soon as you pick it up they feel solid and well built.
Performance is great and just make sure everything it tight and lines are kink free before starting

Just got this yesterday to battle my phosphate .36 issue. The reactor appears to be high quality and looks great. Not to mention all the great accessories it came with. Wish BRS provides better hose since the ones ship is so stiff and a real pain to route. Overall a great product and cant wait to go home and test for phosphates tonight.

This kit is great. It comes with all of the parts needed. I plumbed two of them directly into my return line. I hung them directly over my sump so they are easy to change and any spilled water lands in the sump. The valve also works great so you can adjust the flow to get the GFO to tumble and the carbon to not.

I have had this reactor running on my 40 gallon tank for about a month now. The water clarity is amazing. The only complaint I have is no mounting screws were included. I had to take the mounting bracket to the hardware store to find the right size so it wouldn't fall. Other then that it's a great product.

When i opened the box I could tell right off this was going to be good. The reactor is well built with seamless construction. The internal compartment makes changing media simple and clean. I use two of these, one for GFO and one for Carbon. I will not set up another system without these.

Running GFO and carbon together; packed full and tight. Very easy to fill and set up. The instruction aren't in Chinese English; it's American made! In just two days there was a significant reduction in algae production. But the best thing is it's a great filter. I know, it wasn't intended to do this, but, my water is so clear now! I am so HAPPY I purchased this item!

Just unboxed and opened this puppy... hooked up tubing... filled up resin... fired up the pump (after running about 1/2 gallon through the resin until clear), and we're off! Yep, set-up was literally THAT easy!!! The only part that wasn't easy about this set-up was the tubing it came with... a bit hard to work with, but doable. Not enough to drop a star rating, just a bit tedious on the thumbs; But man is this unit fantastic value for what you get! I definately would recommend it over purchasing the over-priced major manufacturers offerings of thinner acrylic tubes. Big thumbs up BRS!!!
