I am using GAC with this and I am pleased with the results.
Easy set up easy to manage.
Only problem I have had is that the GAC floats up to the top when I first sart it up with new carbon. I leave the pump off for a couple hours until it settles back down and have no continuing problem

Great reactor for GFO. Easy to hook up! The tubing is very stiff so buy two 1/2x1/2 elbows so it can drop down into sump, or if you have a heat gun that will also work.

I like the convience and eas of use. I have a Phos ban reactor and compareing this reactor to the BRS, the BRS is without a doubt easier to install, change media and operate.

I've been using this for GFO and carbon. Works great and my phosphate numbers are down. The clear glass makes it easy to see the GFO tumble..

Got it and it took less than 10 minutes to install and it works great also bought the hc gfo. Only had it for 3 day so not sure on performance but I will be getting another for carbon

I bought two reactors...one for GFO and one for Carbon. They both work well and changing the media for routine maintenance is pretty easy.

This was super easy to setup. Any questions I had were answered by the video that BRS has on the product page. All I needed was a few plumbing parts from my hardware shop to make it look good and now I have a simple carbon/GFO filter that didn't break the bank. Paired with the MJ900 collection was a breeze.

Very heavy duty and sturdy construction. This is the best reactor for running carbon and GFO, in my opinion. I put the GFO in the bottom and then put a foam pad about 1 inch above the GFO (this leaves room for the GFO to tumble), and then fill with carbon, then another foam pad, works great.
I can see the GFO tumble, the acrylic media container is easy to get the flow right.

This is a great reactor!! Super sturdy construction. It works great with the cobalt maxi jet. With new acrylic media container its easy to get the flow right. Best reactor ive ever used!!!

This reactor is awesome! Very heavy duty and sturdy construction. I was a little skeptical of the push connector fittings at first but after connecting and using them they are leak proof. Great combo with the cobalt maxi jet, it runs completely silent! My only complaint is the hose. It's super stiff so it's hard to get the hose to go up to the tank right. Some elbow fittings fixes that though. Overall awesome reactor!!!

This thing always clogs. I have bought there updated canisters which I think are worse then the first gen. Normally need to remove the GFO long before it is exhausted.

With the use of a maxijet 1200 it works great. With the included ball valve u can really create a slow tumble with the media. The hardest part of the installation was screwing it down to my stand. Make sure when filling it up with media that u only fill it about a quarter of the way because the media will actually expand when it gets wet. Overall would recommend this reactor.

I am useing this on a 55gal system and it works great. With a maxijet 1200 it works great, it comes with a ball valve to reduce the flow so u get a slow tumble of the media. Overall would recommend this system to anyone who is looking for a great gfo reactor.
