Mixes clear and quick. Levels are better than the mass produced salts.

Best Salt So Far By Rob on 8/19/12
Rob would recommend this product to a friend
I have tried about 5 different salts and this is the best so far. I cannot think about anything bad to say about it. It mixes very fast and clean, and helps me keep parameters more stable. I have noticed I have not had to dose as much in my mixed reef compared to other salts.

I bought this salt at my LFS. When I did a 15% water change, the next day both my Powder Blue Tang and my Yellow Tang were dead. I freaked out. I had them for months and they are not cheap fish. So I got them out and did another water change. While I was checking the water chemistry I noticed the ammonia was high. So I did another water change, same results. So I checked my freash water it came up 0 ppm, then when I put the Red Sea Pro Salt in the good water and checked it it came up 1.0ppm the tube was green. I checked it over and over again with the same results. I then took pictures and emailed them to my LFS. They gave me my money back and wanted 2 cups of the salt. They got the same results I did. I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but when I contacted Red Sea, they never even emailed my back. So now every time I do a water change I check the new water before I put it in my tank!

Best salt I've ever used By David on 8/11/12

Ive been using a quality salt I buy at a local aquarium shop or by mail order in my 210 gallon reef tank but since I've started using Red Sea Coral Pro my tank looks 100 percent better. Great polyp extension and the alkalinity and Ph are just where I like to keep it. I'll be using it in my tank from now on
Thanks again BRS!!!

Love This Salt. Fish & Corals Love It Too. By LeeBo on 7/21/12

I recently switched from IORC to RSCPS and what a difference. I can tell just from mixing the quality difference. The cheaper IORC leaves a floating residue on top of the water in the mixing tank while the RSCPS leaves no residue. Fish and corals have seemed to respond better to this salt too.

I find it interesting to read some of the varying observations in these reviews.
Using a Hanna colorimeter I find that with a fresh mix of 1.025, ALK is at about 15--which is higher than the advertised level. I measured the Ph to be about 8.2.
Beyond that, what I observe over time is the need to dose ALK and Mg, which leads me to believe the Ca, Mg and ALK numbers are actually, in practice, a bit lower than advertised as others have observed.
Beyond that, end results are what matter to me. And I have had tremendous results with this mix over the others I have tried, and for now will use nothing else.

Highly recommend. This salt is easily the best not the market. Keeps you levels nice and stable if used as directed.

This salt has made my parameters more stable, and dissolves crystal clear in a very short time. My old salt (which was more expensive) took over night. Great product

OK but not up to advertised levels By Steverino on 6/25/12

Is anyone checking the actual levels? I bought the salt first because of the advertized levels of Ca, Ak and Mg. and second on price. At 1.025 I find Ca @ 420, Ak @ 8.2 and Mg. @ 1240 all lower than advertized. I find major residue if I aireate the mixed water, and only slight residue if I don't. I can't say that this is any better or worse than the HM reefer salt I have been using, but it is much cheaper. Just disappointed in advertized levels, especially Ak.

Excellent. I will purchase again. By Brett on 6/25/12

This stuffed mixed up exactly as indicated. I have seen some reviews that state when mixed the advertised parameters were way off. I assume this because the person only utilized part of the total. In other words, if you buy a 175 gallon bucket and only make 10 gallons, there is a reasonable chance it could be off. But if you buy 50 gallon bag and mix 45 gallons, you'll probably will be close to advertised parameters.
